Default I have an idea

The SH4 mods workshop should be split into three .
1/ SH4 mods workshop general .
2/ SH4 mods work in progress .
3/ SH4 mods released .

I could see some sense to separating in-progress and released stuff, but I personally don't think it should be. Having everything in one place helps draw attention to in-progress stuff and give modders more exposure and encouragement prior to release, and we should do anything we can to motivate them :p

I'll take a round trip ticket to Honolulu so I can do some historical research.

Well

unless each section of the mod forum would be interconnected and your thread would move to the other section with progress I see a huge amount of confusion and wasted double and triple posts on progress.

If the forums are interconnected then YES YES, AND YES ,otherwise I am with LukeFF on this one, NO NO, and NO!

I dont want to spam my own thread LOL but all the thread tags [rel] should be together . SH4 mods workshop becomes SH4 mods workshop disscussion . Up above the new topic button and under the SH4 mission designers forum there could be at least a new forum entitled SH4 mods released .

Color Coded Thread Titles

That would be instantly recognized, the text can get confusing.

[REL] Test Release
[REL] In Progress
[REL] Workshop

Or maybe some kind of post icons?

day of defeat had a section for seperate mod releases (maps for example had a releases section)

this might be good to organize chatter from releases but the [rel] works good too

Agree, but also, is it possible to have the main SH4 Mods Workshop broken down even further into SH4 Mods Workshop : Pacific and SH4 Mods Workshop : Indian Ocean, or SH4 Mod W : 1.4 and SH4 Mod W : 1.5, or something similar, I now find it very difficult to sift thru all the new uboat addon stuff (which i do not have) to find the 1.4 stuff.

(yawn)

Read the description of the mod to see whether it's for 1.4 or 1.5.
