Default failure to update Sh 3

I had to reinstall to get a clean install for gwx. I have downloaded and repaired so many times I am wearing out the cd. I have cleaned the cd and cd player. Error is Ubisoft/silent hunter 111/data/menu/de_help txt unknown version. I never had this problem before. Help

I had that happen when I did a reinstall so I could use GWX2.0

I just deleted the .txt file, and then another error poped up about another .txt file, and I deleted that as well. Patch installed fine after that, not really sure what the problem was, but whatever

Starfox, your a genius. Three deletes and off we go. I was a machinist mate once but got smart and switched to electricians mate. Instead of crawling in bilges I got to sit at control panel. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem on the first GWX install and solved it the same way.

Yes, when you uninstall the .txt files are left behind and have to be manually deleted.
