Default Flying bodies

I notice from the recent screen shots that there are flying bodies included in the explosion modelling. I this a fixed feature of the enhanced damage mod included with 2.0, or might there be a tweek file available to remove/reduce them. Otherwise everything looks great. As soon as my machine gets over it's problems I might actually get to start a new career in the 2.0 I downloaded

Flying bodies are nothing new and have been with The Grey Wolves mod packages for two years.

Some of the new effects mods that people are placing over the top of GWX... make for a huge mass of bodies flying through the air and it looks quite goofy.

The base GWX 2.0 mod uses them very sparingly. Too many is just plain cartoony looking and fake.

User choice though. Some people like wierd stuff.

Ah, I see. I just hadn't noticed them before.

A huge mass of bodyes is a bit weird , except in fully loaded troop ships.

i think that dev team saw this picture before develope SH3

I remember seeing one thread recently where there were so many, it resembled synchronised dying

In a torpedo hit, only those right on top of the blast area should be affected. With a magazine explosion, most of those close enough to be thrown into the air will be vaporized before that can happen.

The Maine drawing was made from imagination, not life.

Are you aware that GWX 2.0 includes a new Mod: GWX - Enhanced Damage Effects?

I believe it was created by Rubini. I'm trying it out and it seems to be more graphic and realistic then 1.03 but not over-done. It does not seem to hinder the frame rate on torpedo attacks on single ships; but I have not gotten to multiple sinkings or convoys yet.

I remember torpedo'ing a destroyer coming down on me with RCN colours and seeing the bodies flying off her prow as the torpedo impacted, backlit by the fire on the forwards superstructure.

That was a half second I considered not playing SH3, since U-Boat'ing my countrymen who fought so bravely on the Atlantic seems like a real kick to the testiculars.

Kaluen 3Jane,

I posted earlier about the very same thing. You would think after hundreds of hours of SH3 I would have noticed this b4 but uh uh... dunno why. I thought it was a new feature as well.

LoL, yes. I honestly haven't seen them, at all either. Even looking through my past screen shots I can't find any. I wish there was a way to get rid of them completely.

Yes, that is the one I was refering to. My own machine has been having problems, so I haven't had chance to see 2.0 for my self. I was just commenting on some of the most recently posted screen shots.

The only time I've seen flying guys was when I put a TII into a Flower class corvette and, yeah, there was a small number of them up in the air, presumably because the Flowers were quite open to the elements so people are going to get chucked up by an impact.
