![]() After being retired from 1st career ![]() I restarted back in 39 in wilmershaven class VIIB 2nd patrol Sent out to patrol area just off Spain.....so took the route up round North of Scotland, West of Ireland then Due South ![]() Radio contact of convoy heading East, intercepted convoy 06.30 loosed off a few eels, couple of large merchants ![]() Came up to Periscope Depth and found HMS Rodney 10 degrees off bow 700m distance ![]() Fired 4 forward tubes aiming for bow to stern spread (Dived ) Came back up after reload (ONLY 1 Forward 1Aft Torps left) Rodney slow but looks stable ![]() Using Final Torp Damage Mod ![]() Put final Front Torp into Rodders hull ![]() She Lists suddenly approx 10 degrees and slips slowly at that same angle into the sea( 2 Hours I waited) ![]() 3rd mission much the same Only HMS Nelson ![]() Takes 2 Torps and sinks in 5 mins(1 midships and 1 just front of props/screws) Now there is a question ![]() I'm using reallistic sinking times and the difference between 2 Giants (36000 tons each) and sustained damage is slightly confusing(TO ME) Is it historical(perhaps HMS Nelson older = less protection) Is it position of strike Is it pure damn luck I still consider myself as Learning Noob so pointers /advice welcome ![]() Salute maddysad
