Default Neutrality Issue

Hi I am new to this game and I am having trouble with this issue. All ships I sink are deemed as Neutral vessels after my patrol ends. I know this is not the case as I have sunk Destroyers and have checked flags before firing. Is this a bug that can be solved. I am running v1.4. Thanks.

I thought this when I first started using SH3. It's all down to the lines of text in the summary at the end of your patrol or when you save not looking like they line up correctly. If you count the lines from the bottom up you will see that you have sunk Allied ships not neutral ships. Hope that makes sense.

Hello theatreblues; the answers to many questions about the game can be found on the community manual. Target id, etc. Welcome aboard.

My advice is to get your feet wet and get to know the game a little bit before you install any modifications.

Default Re Neutrality Issue

Hi Thanks for the replies, but I still have a problem, I am sinking ships and the report at the end says I have sunk no tonnage along with this neutrality issue.
Thanks.

I have heard that this could be a bug that sometimes appears when you end your patrol closely near the location you started it in the harbour.

Hi Theatreblues, are you referring to the patrol summary screen which you see after you save and exit mid-patrol? The lines of the text of this screen appear not to line up properly, so at a glance it looks like you have sunk neutral ships instead of Allied ships. As I mentioned earlier count each line from the bottom of the screen and you will see that the number of ships sunk matches the Allied line not the neutral line.

When you reload your patrol the summary screen will show that you have sunk nothing. This is updated only when you have completed the patrol and is not updated mid-patrol. There is also a bug which affects your first patrol only. If you upgrade your u-boat before starting your first patrol, when you complete the patrol you get zero renown and no credit for ships sunk. I have had this happen to me (even when I haven't upgraded), but as a precaution I save just before docking at base and if I don't receive the credit I just reload and dock again which seems to cure it.
