Default View obstructed?

I didnt try a search for this, I oculdnt think what it might be under. But is it right that when on the bridge and using binoculars, large portions of your view are obscured by parts of the conning tower?

it is silly though, you should be able to walk anywhere on the bridge at the very minimum (and ideally climb to the lookout/crows nest)

US subs used to do their patrols with a "high scope" anyway, meaning that the scope was extended also when on the surface, and the station was manned by a watch crewman. Just look through the scope if you need an unrestricted field of view.

Don't use 1.2(alt-f2 will work on the deck in pause)

Quite simple ,actually....

You need MiniTweaker and the Camera_dat file.

Open it up and scroll down to the Binoculars listing....

Change the clip distance value from 0.1...to 2.0

Remove the COPY of the Camera_dat from the library file and your good to go.

The result.....an unobstructed bino view.

Or.....use this link to Mav's camera mod for a ready to use Camera_dat file...
