It's part of the 7z compressor/decompressor software.

No anomalies known yet. So I'd consider it a false alarm for now.

I use powerarchiver for my 7z files. Never had any problems. It's a very good compression program, try it if you haven't already.

If you are using it, did you obtain it from a genuine trusted source?

Viruses though, don't get me started on that one, I always ask myself "why". If a person is skilled enough to write modern PC code, why do they devote their skills to what amounts to nothing more than vandalism. Anyway, I guess that's a discussion for another thread or forum.

Good luck with your compression issues

Because my friend they "aren't" skilled enough to write modern code! L-O-S-E-R-S!!

And this is coming from someone in the computer field. I'm sure most of the guys here are smart enough to keep their virus definitions up to date! I'm new to this forum, but I can tell there are some intelligent members! Think I'll stick around and hope some of it rubs off!

I use AVG myself. Not bad for a free product. But then, I really don't frequent the file sharing websites much.

I use Avast myself it has the best boot time scan there is IMO, in fact it's better than some commercial products in that regard, also it has a much cleaner interface.
