Default Unloading torpedoes

Hi boys and girls

You know, after all this time on board Uboats I still find things I did not know

If you have an empty slot in your reserves you can unload a torpedo tube and reload it with another torpedo

Useful when you want to change your configuration

I also realised that with auto targetting on for the realism settings means that all you have to do is point and click apparently. I have always used the weapon officer to generate a solution (because I suck at it) wow. I think I am going to have to practive my firing solutions and switch to manual.

Oh, I knew you could do that, but I have to caution you: It takes a long time. Don't try it in the heat of battle.

Same here. I never knew that. Anyway, I'm only using T1 steam, but still useful to know for later time.

I read that in R/L the crew had to take one torpedo out en back in for maintenance every day.

Tip: Don't let Bernard do this, somehow he manages to put them in backwards.

:rotfl: That was the situation when I found out that you can drag the torps "the other way". Tired Kaleun and Bernard in the aft torpedo room (IXb) Had a T2 loaded and one empty tube, wanted to load a T1 for that DD. Dragged the torp into the tube, and stared at the tube being emptied

I can't remember which sim it was, but I remember being able to drag stern reserve torps into the forward reserves / tubes. Came in handy when you used all your forward supplies, or to just keep them topped up. The transfer took ages, so it wasn't something to do in the middle of a firefight, but became usefull when hunting your next target.
