[REQ] Fewer plane attacks mod...?

How about a mod that cuts down on plane attacks?
I find the odd plane attack entertaining enough but when I'm attacked for the 50th time in the same mission it starts to get irritating.
Besides, shooting down 10+ planes in each mission is just silly.
It's especially bad around the Japanese homeland - as it should be, I guess, but it would still be nice to be able to tone the attack frequency down. Especially as the admiral keeps sending me on patrols just off the Japanese coast.

So, if there's not one already, I'd like to petition for a plane attack mod.
Or if one could point me in the direction of the relevant files, I might just have a go at it myself...
