Default Damnit Murphy!

My first patrol in my new IXC. Im several hundred miles off the coast of freetown working a large convoy that contained 2 large tankers and 2 medium tankers. I am having more luck with this convoy than I have had with any other. Regardless of the fact that it is now early 1942, I decided to take a couple of long range shots at 2 of the flower corvettes that detected me. Scored a few lucky shots and sank them both. Downed all of the tankers and paused the sim to go to bed. Why save it I thought? Its never crashed on me before and what are the odds of the power going out? Well *&^%! i woke up early today to a storm that put the power out. I lost it all. Here I sit back in Lorient with a tear in my eye...like that Indian in that commercial who saw all of that trash on the ground.

Nice pic in your sig. Shallow water indeed. We all know what bernard is getting looking through that scope,...and its no medal.

Shame...mine crashes at least once i night. I save religously - after every stricken ship takes on enough water to get marked in kaleun's logbook.

I had that problem. In fact I moth balled the game for a while. I have installe\reinstalled many many many times. Something turned out right this time. Also,...found the nemo codec pack on my comp beore I installed last time. Not sure how it got there as I thought I uninstalled it before one of my last install attempts. Maybe thats what was crashing my game on the previous installs.

Too bad, Nips. You had a great beginning. Those Freetown convoys are great to trash for several days. I'm heading that way right now. I hope to sink one of the escorts early to reduce their depth charges and then wear them out.
