Default Sunk a German Boat

This sucks, it really does. I was about to dock into St. Naz and i was looking atthe map and then it said She's going down. I was confused, cause i forgot i still had my Deck Gun crew up and that they would shot at a german ship. They must be stupid. I hope the German High Command doesnt shot them.

So is this a bug? Can it be corrected?

I believe they're more likely to shoot you :rotfl:

I recommend heading to South America. I hear it is nice there and no firing squads are around.

I beleive this to be an unfortunate side effect of GWX, since I've only experienced this kind of behaviour since I installed the mod. However, at least one person has posted that this kind of behaviour was present in stock SHIII also.

Wait, stock SHIII had friendly U-boats? :hmm:

Hmm i use TGW1.1a, and i noticed in Stock SH3 that when u have a full crew at the flack or the deck gun it will fire on friendly units..

now i can understand a u-boat firing at a friendly plane, just out of fear, but after realizing its their own they would stop. But hey its a game haha

I think there just weren't that many opportunities to shoot anything friendly in the stock game. With GWX, if you order them to fire at will in the harbour, they will open up on your escort or anything else within range.

Notice to myself: Don't order your crew to fire at will on any target while in friendly waters. At court-martial the guncrew will weasel out by saying that they "just obeyed orders" and the Kaleun will end up facing the working ends of the the execution squad...

Cheers,
AndyW

On your arrival to port, the band will play, the nurses wave at the 50 SS troops who will march up the dock to arrest you.

Best you write a letter of apology from Buenos Aires.

Better yet. Don't man the deck gun until you're ready to actually start using it.
