Default Bergen

I left St. Nazaire on my present patrol and on my way out I was told I was to return to Bergen instead of St. Nazaire.

It is August 1944.

Does anyone have a route to get into it?

I have no idea how to get into it. :hmm:

If someone has a route. Could you snap a large picture of all the channels and draw the route I should take to get into it. Please.

I hope I read it properly; that I'm supposed to go to Bergen after the patrol.

I didn't save the instructions.

It depends on which version of the game you are running.
Since you're operating out of St.Nazaire I assume you are in the 7th flotilla.
If you are using GWX, then you should be being transferred to Trondheim, Norway.
If you are using stock SH3 1.4b, then you should be being transferred to Bergen, Norway. Also, if you are using stock you don't have to worry about the mines, as I don't believe there are any friendly minefields present in that version.

Hi Steppenwolf

I am trying to finish the war that I started a long time ago with SH3. I am presently in August 1944.

As soon as I finish the war using SH3, I will then start over again using GWX1.02.

Having a ball of fun!

Thats the route I take out of Bergen. A few spots where TC drops to 1. It is not bad. I rather this than Kiel.

Bergen is one of my favorite ports to operate from. I like it a lot. Pretty scenery.

robj250,
If you're going to be operating consistently out of Bergen, you may want to bump up your maximum time compression for Land Proximity in the Main.cfg file, or preferably use SH3 Commander 2.7 to do it, to make those trips in/out of port less tedious.

Thanks Steppenwolf.

I'll see what I can do, if I even make it there.

I've been under constant aircraft fire; eight planes. downed 3 and then dove to 100 metres. I lost a man.

Well I made the 3050 km trip to Bergen. What a trip it was. If only I had more torpedoes I could have sunk more ships. Lot of problems running across above Scapa Flow. Then a storm blew up and I could not use my Flak guns.

Well I hope that my patrol areas out of Bergen do not take me all the way around where I just came from. I also hope that my SONAR does not get destroyed when I leave port on my next patrol.

Anyway, it was a long, long mission, as you can tell from the fact that I had to make 6 parts for the movie.

That one is over, done, and I'm pooped. :rotfl:

I did have one seaman get killed.

Rob

P.S. I've decided to keep the VIIC/42. It's a great sub.
