Does anyone else have problems with the dipping sonar being 30-40 degres off? It seems like the only time I can get a reliable reading is when the cable is being deployed or retracted. The unit is not resting on the bottom, and this happens with both passive and active sonar.
For example, I will deploy the dipping sonar and while it is still deploying, I can detect and mark a sub, check it on the map with 'show truth'. When the sonar is fully deployed, or if I stop it, the contact bearing seems to shift about 30 degrees. Also, has anyone heard anything about the 1.04 patch? I was under the impression it was 'coming out soon' like a year ago....

No, usually i've got around 14-17 knots due to wind. Think maybe that's the problem?(I'll try it tonight)

Well it may be the problem .. winds and currents behave strangely in DW. Better turn them off.
