Default Problem Renaming Propeller Node

Moin,

after renaming the propeller node in the unit´s *.dat to fit my vessel´s name the propeller stopped rotating. After renaming the corresponding node in the *.sim file the game crashes to desktop.

Any ideas?

Regards,
DD

Moin Anvart,

Quote:
Names of propellers should be identical in *.dat and *.sim files.
If the length of a new name differs from length of a replaced (old) name,
it is necessary to correct data block and subblocks lengths
in *.sim file.

I did so. Crashes anyway. Pack3D is able to load the altered *.sim and *.dat files without hanging. All data are shown as planned in Pack3D. Seems as if I have to dig around a little to find the bug.

Thanks anyway Anvart.

Regards,
DD

Moin,

I´ve adjusted the blocksize, but:

After I´ve adjusted the size of the unit_ship block accordingliy (from 2A >>> 2E) Pack3D fails to show the node correctly. But it works ingame.

Astonishingly the upper version works fine. I can´t imagine why. I´ve adjusted the size of the following blocks/subblocks:
  • unit_Ship
  • Propulsion
  • Propellers
  • DD_MBoat_Propeller01
  • DD_MBoat_Propeller02
Whenever I don´t adjust the size of unit_ship, Pack3D has no problem to show the node, but it doesn´t work ingame. The Museum hangs while loading.

The only difference is the size of the unit_Ship block. (2A vs 2E)

Regards,
DD
