jimimadrid Optics
New Views for the optics of the Periscope, Binoculars, TBT and canon view.
I have changed the masks with the droplets to more visible version in the night. Some lines has to be changed in the menu1024_768. ini. Therefore the SH_MenuMerger is added. First install the jimimadrid Optics Mod with JGSME. After this start the SH_MenuMerger from the SH4 Folder and merge the optics Mod . Without merging this Mod tith the SH_MenuMerger you will no see any difference in the optics. YouTube Demo: Download: https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=6281 Enjoy |

Looks nice. Those scopes don't look like the ones in SH4. Are they from a mod?

These are different snapshots from the internal SH4 view. Then graphically modified to get the best possible effect.

I should have been more clear. I realize the glass part has been enhanced, what I was referring to is the graphics of the gun sight itself, and the TMZ. The frame of the sights? Does that make sense? Those look different than what the default is. They look like they may be remodeled.

Yes, I reduced it. The SH4 graphics are 1024x1024 graphics. They are then used in the SH4 as 3:4 graphics. Due to the 19:6 resolution (1920x1080), the optics are displayed wider. I trimmed them to get more left and right space for the handle graphics. I wanted to get away from the black background and give the whole thing a more haptic view. You should have the feeling that you can touch it, or in the canon view, get the feeling be near the canon to view through the optic. You can switch off individual views by removing the corresponding sections in the MODS\Jimimadrid Optics\Menumerge\jimimadrid Optics.ini before activating. Many thanks for all the job. Looking very nice in my FOTRSU and the general SH1 retro feeling is specially welcome.
You have my vote, Jimmy! Best regards. Fitzcarraldo
