Yeah it gives you a chance. I got screwed too many times with it at that default setting. From planes and warships.

I always change the TC setting for Enemy Detected + Aircraft Detected to 1. Not only does this give you a chance but will also mean that you a an audible warning from your crew. If it's left at 8 no audible warning is given.

As I often do something else while SH3 is running in the background, I have the Aircraft detected set to 0...

The "new mod" will be on a separate install, as from what I have read in the manual I will probably use it mainly for "exotic" careers in the Med, Black Sea or Far East and it will have it's own settings after testing... ![]()
