EnemyDetected=8

TIME COMPRESSION
EnemyDetected=8
Is there any advantage in changing this to
EnemyDetected=1

Yeah it gives you a chance. I got screwed too many times with it at that default setting. From planes and warships.

I always change the TC setting for Enemy Detected + Aircraft Detected to 1. Not only does this give you a chance but will also mean that you a an audible warning from your crew. If it's left at 8 no audible warning is given.

As I often do something else while SH3 is running in the background, I have the Aircraft detected set to 0...;)

Yeah, but this is a bugger when leaving port:yep:. You might want to change that back to 1 if you plan on using a new Mod that'll be out soon.;)

Sorry, should have written I set it to TC=0 when I am out at sea. I'm not always sitting in front of the screen and it saved my life many times... I always leave port at TC 1 anyway.
The "new mod" will be on a separate install, as from what I have read in the manual I will probably use it mainly for "exotic" careers in the Med, Black Sea or Far East and it will have it's own settings after testing...;)
