Hi folks
I am running SH5 with the Wolves expansion/mod. Is there any way to get one of my officers to calculate a torpedo solution for a target? I understand many get a thrill from using the TDC themselves, but I am a more casual user, and would like the workload shared a bit more. That's my only gripe with the game. Thanks.

Yea when looking at the target throught the scope press space to target it and then press space again and the solution will be worked out for you (a message box will come up I believe with option to turn it on in there, you only need to turn it on the first time after that its just the double space)

Thank you for that. I either get the option "Turn Auto TDC Off" or "Fire on my bearing" (or something similar). Neither of which seems to work for me. I have also set Manual Targeting to False in both my save game and master cfg files. Would I have to start from port again?

I don't think you have installed TWoS properly, did you direct TWoS installation files to your main game folder as required?

It's a while since I installed it, but I can find files relating to TWOS such as "The Wolves of Steel - Documentation" and "TWoS Parts" plus the TDW Generic Patcher in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Silent Hunter 5

Step one. Find target in scope.
Step two: lock. Step three go to WO (crew member bar) Step four: click on periscope icon (torpedo attack). Step five: have the WO identify the ship (identify icon), set torp depth and impact or magnetic / salvo and so on. An outline of the hull should appear when he identifies the ship. Step six: press solution icon, then open tubes if happy with torp settings. Step seven: unlock and place crosshairs where you want them on the target. Step eight: fire torpedo (either by using space or the fire icon) Should hit. Repeat lock/unlock sequence including solution icon as many times as you need and be advised that with each new lock a new solution has to be calculated by the WO.
