[REL] BBC Radio Mod Extended

The BBC Radio Mod Extended is a rework of the original BBC Radio Mod.

The major difference between the Mods is an increase in the amount of music, which has been changed from 40 of the most popular songs in Britain for each year, According to The Britburn Project which compiled this information from the sales of sheet music, the amount of tunes for each year has increased to 50, giving a total of 350 tunes.

Each of the tunes included have been re-mastered to remove 'Grove noise', 'Stylist Clicks' and 'Background Noise', they have also had there 'tonal quality' altered to make them sound as they would when first recorded, they have also been reformatted to .ogg from the original .mp3 standard.

The other major difference between the mods is that the number of Events, 'News items', 'Topical Speeches', 'News Flashes' and 'Public Annoucements' has been increased to over 200 events over the War years.

The BBC Radio Mod Extended can be enabled at any time during a patrol, however it would be prudent to stick to the Rule to only enable mods while in the bunker.

BBC Radio Mod Extended is JSGME ready.

Simply extract the BBC Radio Mod Extended file into your MODS Folder.

If you are using another Radio Mod, like Carotio_IntercontinetalRadioPack or Grossdeutsher Rundfunk or Grossdeutsher Rundfunk New Remix 1939-1945 (which is included in The Wolves of Steel Mod), you will also need to extract the relevant Radio.ini file to the MODS Folder.

Enable BBC Radio Mod Extended using JSGME after all other mods, if you are using any other Radio Mods, enable the relevant Radio.ini file after BBC Radio Mod Extended.

G'day Les, great to see you still working to improve on these radio mods. I quite often listen to the BBC radio included in the old Carotio Intercontinental Radio mod and was thinking that the songs were starting to wear a bit thin, so this new mod will be a welcome addition! Having just started out on my third patrol in the Mediterranean (Mare Nostrum), I was thinking how nice it would be to be able to tune into an Italian station but unfortunately I've never seen one anywhere for SH5. (Hint for future project...)

Kevinsue Thanks for your thumbs up, its unlikely to be an Italian station, as there is so little original sound recordings from the 'Ente Italiano per le Audizioni Radiofoniche' (EIAR) the official Italian radio station available
