My Observations of SH5

Been playing a month or so now and I really like it thanks to the mods to fix so many things. Frankly I am amazed at how a game can be released in such a bad state.
Thankfully there is a modding community to address the many many things wrong with the game.

Having said that there are still two things I really hate.
Constant voices telling me "new course blah blah" harbour pilots are bad for this LOL.
flooding warning resolved thankfully
and my torpedo guy came up with an idea for using torps to circle but I can't see anyway of getting them to actually do that.

Kudos to you modders out there for saving the game and greatly improving the experience.

Merry Christmas

Hi robmoore

TDW's Generic File Patcher is important as it contains some 20 torpedo patches.

This mod below will stop torpedoes circling

FX_Update_0_0_22_ByTheDarkWraith (folder 1)

FX_Update_0_0_22_Torpedoes (modified for torpedoes failure patches) (folder 3)

Folder 1 and folder 3 are inside a Folder called Mods.

If you are playing stock then it is folder 1 and folder 5 replacing folder 3

You select the Base Folder and only 1 Patch Folder

Good topic as I just got my SH-5 disk today in the mail. It was only $7.95 delivered.

I know there are going to be a ton of patches to install I just don't really know where to start. Going to take it slow and read a lot I guess.
