This is tragic! He wrote books very well, and got the technical details right. At least he left a large legacy with all those books.

Tom was a great author, he wrote books that were hard to put down and always made me want to read another few pages late into the night. His death is a loss but his stories will live on. RIP.

My favo(u)rite novel of his, was/is Red Storm Rising. I always wished, they'd make a mini-series out of that.
