Edit: This is too advanced for me if it's even possible to mod. So if there is somebody else that wants to have a go with this, feel free to do so.
Which file do I have to edit to adjust the number of bombs a plane drops during an attack run if it's at all possible? A stick of four would be a lot more effective. Last patrol I had a wellington attacking me late 1940 (GWX), but it dropped only one bomb during the initial attack run. Chances of being hit by that are very small it missed me by a hunderd meters. I did use the search function but couldn't find the answer. I hope one of you knows. Last edited by Vince82; 05-31-13 at 04:17 PM. |

if it isn't hardcoded (which it probably is as the dropping would be a script) look in the EQP file.

Vince, have a look at this thread:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...=increased+asw thers is some interesting work done on the loadouts and effectiveness of ASW ![]() either you can use the mod itself or it may point you in the right direction is you choose to mod yourself |

What is the best way to open the .eqp file?
Enough bombs at least, so that's not the problem. From the .cfg file: [Loadout 1] Name=8xDepth Charge Type=5 [Loadout 2] Name=8x250Kg Bombs Type=2 [Loadout 3] Name=4x500Kg Bombs Type=3 I had the revised version of the 'increased ASW' mod already favorited. I'm not using it and I don't know exactly which files are modified, yet. But as far as I know it doesn't adress the number of bombs that are dropped during an attack by aircraft. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom//sho...d.php?t=133355 I did a couple articles about it and in general as long as the explosive material is 100kg more, there are 2 factors that are most important: -Aircraft should stay unseen as long as possible. But that is not what my question is about. -The number of bombs dropped. Aircraft usually have only one chance to put a submarine out of action, 15secs after it submerged it becomes uncertain that an attack would have any effect. So dropping a lot of bombs during the first attack makes a lot of sense because it increases the lethal area a lot. I hope it's not hardcoded, because it would improve realism a lot if we would be able to edit this. |

You will see the nodes located in bomb bay doors or under wings where the ordnance is to be located on the model. I hope this isn't confusing. |
