Default How do you turn off that Game Synchronization?

How do you turn off that Game Synchronization?

I saw a youtube that showed to turn it off in the Settings on that UBI window that pops up. I did that... But when the game loads, it still says to wait for it to synchronize, and then gives me that Ok window to confirm it's done..

Thanks

From the lack of replies I assume that it is not possible to turn that feature off? Even when you turn it off in the UBI settings?.. Maybe they are two different things?

When you launch the game and after the launcher goes through its updates - you can click on the small icon top left (cogs) and from there select no online saves

Yea, I guess that's my problem. I don't see anything to click on the the upper/left corner, only the upper/right. I click on 'Settings' in this screen, and then I can turn off 'Enable Game Save Synching' on the server. But it still synchs when the game is loaded...

It does nothing that I can see..

I have unchecked that checkbox a week ago and it still syncs the game saves when the game loads...

But Trevally and others have posted about clicking on some 'gears' on the top left, but I don't see them.... Do I have a different screen that you?

Every time I load the game I still get this:

Sorry - the gear icon may have been an old version of the launcher.

The message box you are showing - everyone gets.
With no online saves - this should appear faster and when you exit game there is no sync.

Ok, so you are saying that even though I get that Ok box that says it has sync'ed my games, it has not? That is strange, but at least it is faster I guess...

Thx..

I like my saves stored on a server . I put in a new harddrive and just reloaded the game and mods . The saves were all there .

I believe it still tries to sync when you first launch your game, but with that checked it finds nothing to sync with so the process is very quick. I don't think your saves are being stored online.

for me it seems that turning off the syncronisation dosn't have any affect.
I'm using the steam version of sh5 and just did a fresh download / install after messing up with some mods.
I have deleted the complete SH5 folder with the local save games but on first game launch the old saves from my first install are getting downloaded from ubi even so I have turned of the syncronisation in the Game Launcher Settings.

I have a stupid problem, I'm sick of this game synchronization, it takes like 5 min for me now.

The problem for me is that there is no file called "settings.ini" in the ubisoft game launcher folder. How odd is that?

I have turned it off in the login screen (offline mode btw) and deleted the storage folder in the launcher folder.
