Default Using the PC all day makes you weak

I found this out after being in new employment for the last two weeks where there is no computers in sight, this job involves heavy work, Small company of 8 guys including myself being going since the 1970's and only supplier in New Zealand so its not going to close down I think I got myself a winner here.

Anyways after the 2nd week into the job my hands are swollen they swell down by morning and my feet are in constant pain when at work from standing on concrete all day I just ain't use to it and I blame my years of computer work sitting on my arse all day where the only muscle work out would be my fingers. I just went all soft and had no idea till I started this job.
I got callouses forming on my hands, blisters, cuts and bruises from using the rivet guns, I feel much stronger and more well being if you know what I mean. But the pain in my feet at times is so unbearable I just clench my teeth and soldier on I don't want to sound like some wimp so I asked during smoko break did you guys have sore feet when you started here? Oh yeah your get that for a couple of months till your feet get use to it just wear double socks it will not stop the pain but ease it a little. The pain is like my feet are on fire. By the afternoon every step is like walking on hot coals

Ive tried the socks, different shoes rubber soles and leather, and even brought in a rubber mat to lay down at my work bench so I can stand on that. Still doesn't work. I will just have to bear it for another couple of months before my feet harden.

The work is great I love it apart from the feet of course but I leave the day feeling like I actually did a good days work. I'm the only one that wears safety gear, ear muffs, eye glasses even though their is a big sign on the wall stating 'all safety gear must be worn' none of the guys wear them. They are all partly deaf from the banging and clanging going on all day they all shout when they talk then I clicked your all bloody deaf! I aint going to go deaf man even if I look like Micky mouse with the safety gear on I'm sticking to it.

I got an hour before I head off, 6am starts I read online to bandage your feet up if standing on concrete all day so Im going to try that.

Know of any remedies of fixing sore feet?
