(NON REALISM DISCLAIMER) Well. first time releasing here, the changes are as follows, increased speed to 50kn surface and submerged increased storage fore(@250) added storage aft(@10) all have type G1 torps Will change others if requested, possibly, if I have the time and the inclination. Not everyone is a realism freak. Different strokes and all that.
Lorka42, the modified date on NSS_Uboat7a.GR2 and NSS_Uboat7a.val are over a month ago. Are you sure those files were changed?

I'm sorry, but when you said improved I was indeed thinking more realistic.
Others have modded stock subs to versions like yours, but they did not call it "improved". They gave it a title that said "this is a fictional remake of the stock boat", such as "Nuclear Type VII" or "Uber U boat" or something silly like that. That is why I scoffed at your "improved Type VIIA" |

Hehe you forgot to add the vertical launch tubes for the V-1 and V-2 rockets and a towed array.
![]() Never mind, hehe as it has already being said here, the game could be played either in realistic or sci-fi modes, but I would hardly call that an improvement.

50 knots? Come on :-) This game is already so goddam easy even with a sub at realistic speeds. Once you have given your motor man his ability bonuses my type VII does 24 knots at flank speed which is already way over the real speed.
This game is already embrassingly easy and im looking forward to some mods which raise the difficulty factor, not lower it. |

Should we have the seperate threads for "Awful realism braking arcade shoot them up style mods for 12 year old kids" section here ? I always thought we are all here starving for realism boosters and thrilling immersion type of mods, but some of us just don't get the idea. Or just might be the weed to blame also
