WTF Is up with your officer ordering ahead standard while rigged for silent running?

Yeah that makes a lot of sense to me.

Unless you set ahead to 1/3 before you lay a course in, they will just fire the damn engines up almost full bore while you're already rigged for silent running. Just blew my cover while positioning for a convoy.

yeah if stationary that does tend to happen, annoying as hell so i always set a speed (usually 1 kt) before setting a course.
would like to know how to edit that option out though. also the annoying thing where you hit the return to course option and it automatically sends you to F5 map screen
