Yes, there are alot of fat kids, but I dont think its 80% of kids. maby 60-70%

A) school lunches suck, if you get a lunch thats even done and tastes good your lucky. (why I dont eat lunch anymore.)

B)Concentrate in class... they dont realy concentrate, they goof off and play games.

60% to 70% is horrible

Back in my old Junior highschool there was probably 3-4 fat kids (including me) out of a few hundred. Course that was like 5-6 years ago.

wow man that's crazy stuff. My daughter doesn't eat all that fast food stuff. I make sure her lunches are healthy. She likes cold cuts, fruits and veggies with dip rather than KFC or McD's crap any day. No cola's is permitted and just juices or milk at home.

I don't deprive my daughter of candies and chocolates.. Just not insane amounts. Parents have to control and monitor what there children eat.

I never stop my daughter from eating either. She can eat as much as she can handle. She's average weight and healthy.

I feel bad for some of those kids. Ok those on the video are extreme cases.. But what about the averages? Why is this being permitted by the state?

Most of these kids will die in there mid 30s. Is this a new means for the State to impose a population control?

I believe it to be true. With cut backs on sports in many schools it does not surprize me. When I was in school we had an actual physical fitness standard inspired by JFK. Most kids I know would rather stay on the couch watching TV or playing games.

Screw sports anyways.

I won't make my future kids play or watch sports, they should exercise, yes, but they won't have to play sports.

I'd rather have a smart kid anyways, we live in a different world these days, The smart people will charge ahead and the dumb physically fit people will be ran over by robots made by the smart people.

I ate like crap in school (hell, I still eat too much steak and drink too much beer). But I never had a problem with my studies.

I'm a parent and we feed my kids just like I was fed: three squares a day, some treats here and there, etc. Yet they are fit as a fiddle.

Why? Because we don't let them sit on their asses all day, watching television and playing video games.

It's great when you're a kid as you can have fun and stay fit. Now I gotta work out 5 times a week to keep in shape.

As an aside, isn't it ironic that as kids, exercise was play and as adults its "working out"?

The Norwegian philosopher and mountaineer Arne Naess was once asked how it came that he took up climbing. I never did, he answered. It's just that most grown up people stop climbing...
I think he stayed true to that, within his capabilities, until he died earlier this year 96 years old.

Children and grown ups can all play and stay both fit and happy. "All work and no play makes xxx a dull boy."

Funny thing about me: I'm a total sucker for poignant, relevent, and interesting philosophical quotes.

No joke. Schools have made a rule to not play games like tag because someone could get hurt. (welcome to attempting not getting sued)

Do not forget to throw in a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken on odd nights.

The electronic baby sitters do not promote exercise. The Wii does but even I can get around that sitting on the couch.

LOL saying that the Wii promotes excercise is like subscribing to the 12oz wrist curl program.

It would be interesting to find a study of IQ and obesity. I would assume healthier people are smarter because of better oygen levels to the brain than obese individuals. Also it seems that obese people have less motivation and would not be the most productive people in a society.
