Just purchased SHIV

Hi everyone. I have played SHIII for years. I have a few questions on SHIV.

Just purchased a new rig: with a Nvidia GT120 vid card. I load the game and skip the into and I get a blank screen. I checked this forum and downloaded the new 182.08 drivers.
Game now works fine, but I go to change the default settings and I get the blank screen again.

Any tips short of reading the 5+ pages of Nvida tweaks....

Also, when I played SHIII there were some awesome mods out there..I think it was real u boat or something...Is there a simmilar mod for SHIV? I like the idea of a one stop mod...
