Just purchased SHIV
 

Hi everyone. I have played SHIII for years. I have a few questions on SHIV.

Just purchased a new rig: with a Nvidia GT120 vid card. I load the game and skip the into and I get a blank screen. I checked this forum and downloaded the new 182.08 drivers.
Game now works fine, but I go to change the default settings and I get the blank screen again. :damn: Any tips short of reading the 5+ pages of Nvida tweaks....

Also, when I played SHIII there were some awesome mods out there..I think it was real u boat or something...Is there a simmilar mod for SHIV? I like the idea of a one stop mod...

Go to my documents and delete the SH4 folder, now restart the game

Nope, that don't work....

Open nvidia control panel and load the default settings for your video card,and what version of the game r' u running?

SH IV version gold 1.5 I guess.

Download latest DX from microsoft.

Download EnHancer and install this will optimize your card...


LEt us know.. OBTW ho much memory in your machine?

There is a sticky at the top related to Nvidia tweaks and nHancer settings.

Two main mods, TMO1.7 beta which works great or RFB. RSRD works with either and you can find stickys on all in the Mod Forum. FORS is another mod, haven't played it much yet, but great graphics and ships.
