Ive been there when we went to the Indland fisheries department. Dont go into the downtown part if you can you can get lost. Dont go into the ghetto part. Trust me. There are lots of interstates that feed off that city.Google hasa a thing where you can look at the streets called street view.

Also I hope you get the jod.

Default about richmond, va

I live in Richmond. It's a great place to work and live. There's a ton of information on the Greater Richmond Partnership's website: www.grpva.com. Also, check out the Greater Richmond Chamber: www.grcc.com. They offer a ton of networking opportuntities.

As for things to do in Richmond, there's a ton of shopping, outdoor sports, the river, festivals, beautiful parks, a great music scene, art and cultural museums, and a tremendous amout of history. Plus, it get to the mountains, ocean or D.C., it's only a 1.5 to 2 hour commute in any direction. There's plenty to do.

It took me a little while to like living here but once I started to explore and learn the area, I really liked it. I've even had a couple of friends move here and they love it.

Hope that helps! Good luck with your interview!

You're my new best friend I noticed your number of posts, Welcome to subsim. I have a history minor, so I'll OD on history stuff. Where are the nice areas/ bad areas? The company is located on the east side (Infineon) so I don't know if that's a good area or bad area. Too much research to do.

If I remember correctly. There is the main part of Richmond which has a lot of stores and things like that. It also has its fair share of traffic. I think Its western Richmond that is kind of downhill. But eastern richmond Is not to bad. And is the place that you are looking to get a job at a Factory cause There is one area of eastern Richmond that has acouple of factorys. The east side is not to bad. All in all Richmond is not that bad

Didnt realy look but Im sure that they do being that it was the capital of the Confederacy but If you get a chance Yourktown and Jamestown or nice for war stuff. They still have cannons on the battle fields and historical sites. Jamestown has a museam with the three ships that are replicas of those ships that came over with those settelers. And there is also a ferrie that goes accrost the James River that goes to Surry county. quite fun to go accrost.
