about richmond, va
I live in Richmond. It's a great place to work and live. There's a ton of information on the Greater Richmond Partnership's website: www.grpva.com. Also, check out the Greater Richmond Chamber: www.grcc.com. They offer a ton of networking opportuntities.
As for things to do in Richmond, there's a ton of shopping, outdoor sports, the river, festivals, beautiful parks, a great music scene, art and cultural museums, and a tremendous amout of history. Plus, it get to the mountains, ocean or D.C., it's only a 1.5 to 2 hour commute in any direction. There's plenty to do. It took me a little while to like living here but once I started to explore and learn the area, I really liked it. I've even had a couple of friends move here and they love it. Hope that helps! Good luck with your interview! |

If I remember correctly. There is the main part of Richmond which has a lot of stores and things like that. It also has its fair share of traffic. I think Its western Richmond that is kind of downhill. But eastern richmond Is not to bad. And is the place that you are looking to get a job at a Factory cause There is one area of eastern Richmond that has acouple of factorys. The east side is not to bad.:yep: All in all Richmond is not that bad

Didnt realy look but Im sure that they do being that it was the capital of the Confederacy but If you get a chance Yourktown and Jamestown or nice for war stuff. They still have cannons on the battle fields and historical sites. Jamestown has a museam with the three ships that are replicas of those ships that came over with those settelers. And there is also a ferrie that goes accrost the James River that goes to Surry county. quite fun to go accrost.
|
I've been to Jamestown, but that was many moons ago. Yorktown would be neat. Maybe Steed (or Jimbuna) would go there with me:cool: . It'll be fun! Gas prices looked cheap there (relative to West coast) What are the taxes like? It's close to DC, so i'm afraid to ask.
|
A couple of hours from it. gass pricer are close to four dollars here. Yorktown also has a battlefield and a museam it is quite nice. Lost of old stuff. And there is one are that has lots of shops and stuff around there.;)

Can you go crabbing there? Not in richmond, but cheasapeak bay?
|
Yes But you gotta be carfule. we recently lost like 80% of the crab population. You got to get a license. You be better off getting a Fishing license for a couple of days and trying to catch some Croakers (they actualy croak). Cause you are garenteed to catch at least one as long as your at the right place. The bay Is abundent with them. we went out fishing sunday and cought ten or twelve good sized ones eventhough we parked the boat in a place where there are alot of young fish about three to five inches long cought quite a fiew of them. ;)
