Default Whole 4 hours, lol

I was shadowing large convoy, Liverpool bound, that was starting to frustrate me with weird course changes.

So i decided to set 3rd ambush (they avoided first 2) in AM61 with 120m depth under keel(i know , bad idea)

Convoy arrived, i managed to sneak in and blow Large Tanker and Merchant wit 4 fishes.

Then i got detected, at first i had 3 warship contacts , that were keep pinging me.After hour or so, whole map went crazy with warship contacts , sonarman was reporting around 10 contacts all over the place.
It looks like that some TF walked in and picked me up.At one point i had between 5 and 7 warships dancing above me(can't say for sure) , and i was moving left and right between 70-110m.

After almost 4 (real time hours) of cat and mouse chase, i managed to get out with no damage at all:rotfl:

Never had that much fun before.

Anyone else had that many warships hunting them at same time?

I once had six hunting me in less then 20 meters depth. They were real bad and I got out.

Going through Gibraltor have had the same kind of situation. Bdu must've wanted me "taken care of" as I was stationed in La Spezia and sent me to patrol CG 78. Crack head did it twice to me (giving me patrol area's outside the Med), both time barely made it back. First time had 11% hull str left, and 2nd only 4% from the constant barrage going through Gibraltor. The patrols were good tonnage wise with the heavy traffic, but the time and frustration of going in and out drove me nuts.

I once had 15

On a more serious note..........this adds further proof that any assets in the vicinity can and usually will be vectored in to assist.

Never had that many. I think my record is 5+Elco in the ~25m deep waters of Valletta.

I tgink the most escorts I've had trying to do the dirty was 5 maybe six. They made a lot of noise, but after the first salvo they saturated the wrong area.

One time I was being DCed by 2 or 3 escorts during a Gibraltar run. I was just west of the port. I'm nervously spinning the hydrophone wheel when i hear a different sound - that strange high-test sound of a large warship + a bunch of new small warship contacts - a TF was passing through the strait over me! I came back to PD amid DC runs and ID'd an Illustrious carrier. I sent three fore tube fish at her, and one at a cruiser that was between me and her. My periscope got shot up while i was firing. Unfortunately, nothing hit the carrier. The cruiser was hit, but alas she did nay sink.
Anyway, it was an exciting coincidence

Most i've had hounding me was 4 destroyers (not many I know), but only 3 launched d/c's and the other stayed at distance to keep me ASDIC locked.
(Can't remember if I survived that one, it was a while ago)
