Default Strange waypoint pathfinding at deep depth

[GWX 2.0 with various other minor mods]

I was passing stealthily through Gibraltar in my XXI, but noticed something odd. While running at 200+ meters to try to hide beneath the thermal, at each waypoint I approached the boat would go off on a weird tangent and circle around the waypoint, instead of deleting the waypoint and going off towards the next one. Does that have something to do with being deep?

Yes, I have seen that too. The waypoints are not resting on the seafloor as pylons, but I have not tested how deep they go:hmm:
Sometimes your boat will just keep going on the last heading, not good if you are on high TC

Your waypoint is on the surface. When running deep you never reach your waypoint and the AI gets confused. So, when reaching the location you have to manually erase the waypoint.

From waypoint A, the boat turns toward waypoint B. Waypoint B is too close and the boat can't turn tight enough so it misses the waypoint, and keeps turning to go back to it it, but now obviously it's gonna turn in circle around the waypoint :hmm:
Thats totally right mikhayl

it cant get the nose over fast enough so it does the go around
this turned up a lot with the evasive maneuvers mod when working
it up.

Try to ensure a distance of 6km or more between waypoints. At slow ahead the XXI has the largest turning radius of all the U-boats.

Have also run into the same thing while running deep and there's a sharp change in depth (i.e. you're too deep), rather than taking dmg like ramming into a subnet the TC will get stuck at 4 and the compass will constantly spin till you go shallow.
