Default A little disapointed - SH4 Patch

Sorry to be complaining about a great sim.

It seems that the missing sounds where not included in the patch.

It would have been real nice if it could have been done.

I think Leovampire was working on some sound issues, but I'm not sure.

How about it Leo?

Default Disappointed...

The devs concentrated on things that could not be modded. Sounds can be handled by the modders and they already have done a great job.

It will take awhile for the smoke to clear and for us to be told that all the mods work right with 1.4, but it will be well worth the wait. Thanks modders! I know it's a pain right now.

I agree 100% with RR!

The important thing was to get the hardcoded stuff done, the "moddable" stuff can, and will be solved by the community. The other wouldn't have been possible

Default The rubber dinghy.....

......sounding like a destroyer when it hits the sub is still there??? Certainly not a showstopper but I thought that would have been an easy fix (I'm not aware of any modder being able to fix it). That's sad.

I'm getting the clock ticking constantly at 1x tc after installing 1.4 and starting a new career.

Haven't found a way to kill the tick tick tick yet.

The clock was not visible as I had closed it. Restarted mission and it has not reocurred. Perhaps I did bump the top of the clock. Chalk it up as user error.
:p

Default I "second" everyone's thanks to the modders!

and, "yeah, what HE said" regarding the rubber dinghy appearing to have the displacement and construction qualities of ones average DD!

Haven't installed the patch yet, being a timid sorta guy, but I've watched the postings and heaved a GREAT sigh of relief upon finding out ROW still works fine! I'd HATE to have to revisit that ghastly Pacific Ocean!

Interesting that only last week there was a Ubi Dev posting along the lines of, "the modders can handle it." Indeed they can!

I have acquired proof that the iron bottom raft is an American product, not Romanian. So they left it to us to fix it! :rotfl:

This problem with the raft sound has been "fixed", in a way - see here:

It's not elegant - but it works, and you won't really miss anything unless you go around ramming stuff with your sub. Would have been nice if they could have truly fixed it, but fairly minor in the grand scheme of things I guess.
