Default Ocean Depth on Nav Map Mod?

Hi all,

Fairly new to SH3, had about 1 month of play in before I encountered the Starforce problem, which is now fixed (by starforce techs, not ubi) thankfully after almost another whole month of not being able to play. Anyhow ...
I've installed both GWX and NYGM (as seperate installs, I just change the folder names to switch installs, including save games folder and SH3 Commander folder), and will be playing primarily GWX 'cause I want to stick with the renown system for now. But this is mostly irrelevant to my question.
which is:
Are there any mods out there (not that I've found yet), or any way for ME to mod, for the Nav Map to indicate numerically the charted ocean depths. I find it irritating to need to be doing a sounding all the time to get even a vague idea of how deep the ocean is at my location, whatever it may be. I'm pretty darn sure they had at least some idea back then of general ocean depths, and that that info was probably included on their charts.

Besides, aren't escorts able to pick up my pings when I do a depth reading? Or is that not implemented?
Regardless, I feel general depth curves with numbers should be indicated on the Nav Map.

Thanks much. And great job to both GWX and NYGM teams. Once again the modders 'fix' a game to realize the potential greatness of a stock game fiasco.

I sure hope I don't have anymore starfarce problems ...

Thanks again.
