Is there an error message? What exactly happens when you start setup.exe?

It says something like H:\setup.exe is not a walid Win32 application or something

This could have different causes. Try some of the following:

Reboot your PC, then try it again.

Delete everything that´s in \Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\temp.

Delete the DVD drive from the Hardware Manager, reboot, then XP redetects the drive, perhaps it works after that.

Try another CD/DVD.

Remove Starforce:

We had dozens of people with SF-related problems here in the past, we try and help every one of them. The only thing that´s taboo is to inform people how to circumvent SF or other copy protections.
