Hi all,
Testing the 65 torpedo with the Akula at different depths and sea states to see how far they would travel before they'd cut out revealed that: at max speed setting, distance travelled averaged 21.7nm at 35kts speed setting, distance travelled averaged 24.3nm but when I set it at 25kts, the 65 only reached average 18.8nm distance. I would've thought at 25kts the distance would be much further :hmm: Is it by chance that time and speed factors determine distance instead of just speed (fuel usage)? LWAMI 3.07 was used. |
