Default Noob-Its dangerous out there

Hi Guys,
First, thanks + respects to all who advised and linked GWS

Just completed 2nd patrol in my U46 VIIB (2nd Flotilla.Wilhemshaven)
Patrol gave me 4 kills, 1 Pyro, 1 Large Merchant, 2 Small Merchant (all to Deck Gun, NO Torps used )
but....
Is the AI always so bloody good?
Went out (AM32) via North Sea then between Orkney and Shetland
Returned Between Orkney and North Scotland :p (to avoid armed stuff I dodged on outward )
Aircraft
DIVE!!!!
Hull Damage(only 15m-20m depth)
Sat there while repairs were effected then ran into 3 ships waiting for me
Cruised under water (must have been approx 100m at 20m depth from land) round North Tip of Scotland (with Forum Advice "Stay Deep" ringing in my ears )
Broke surface once clear of land/ships approx 20km North Sea
Hurricae fighters
DIVE!!!!
head East then South
and
HOME
Patrol #3 cant wait

PS 2 Destroyers sank themselves with own depthcharges (game glitch or reality ? ? )
