Is possible refitting in SH3 with GWX ?
 
Is there any option for refitting the sub with torpedo's and cannon ammo in SH3 Grey Wolves expansion (GWX) that i play? And please can anyone tell me what GWX stands for? Many thanks

You get a full ammo and fuel reload each time you end the current mission and return to port.

You have the option of up-grading equipment and altering the mix of torpedo types before you leave port on each mission.

you answered your second question in your first question anything more than that you are going to hsve to give more details into what you are looking for.
as to refitting. that is only after you return to base or dock in a friendly port (though you don't get to change equipment in any port but your home port). not like SH4 and 5 where you didn't have to dock to reload.

Of course.
Use Hsie's realism pack and Stiebler's add ons for that.
You get Utankers and surface ships from where you can refuel and rearm (there are limitations) without ending your patrol.

what type of rearm do you want? because if it is just the retrofit in SH4 and 5 (WHICH is what i sespect you want)those are hardcoded SH3 never had that in the coding and after SH3 the Dev teams at ubi kept changing each game.

in sh3 you have to retun to base, dock and end patrol.

END PATROL. depending on realism press escape, end patrol or something like that, that should return you to bse if you do not have 100% realism if thats the case you have to plot a course back to base and within 25KM follow the instructions above and you will dock at base. there is NO MOD for mid patrol rearm you can ONLY REARM AFTER YOU END A PATROL AND BEFORE A NEW PATROL. you said you played SH4 well SH3 is an entirely different game.

Lets make things clear
1. If you want a full reload of torpedoes , shells and fuel the only option available in SH3 is to end your patrol as correctly desertstriker has pointed out.

2. Installing both hardcore fixes and the addons that I am suggesting, gives you mid patrol rearming (max 3 TI torpedoes) , fuel (adds 30% of your current capacity) but you can continue your patrol. No gun shells are provided.
Use the links in my last post to download the mods and follow the instructions to the letter to install them.

It is possible to increase the number of torpedoes carried as you leave port. See

It is also possible to increase the number of shells carried as you leave port in one of two ways:

Use the Additional Ammo Mod for GWX (250 deck gun rounds 10.5 and/or 8.8cm...and bear in mind only HE rounds are included with GWX):

Alternatively, you can manually edit /SilentHunterIII/data/Cfg/Basic.cfg/ but it must be done in two places.

Is very hard and complicated to do this even adding more torpedo's
 
I do not have a folder named SUBMARINE_AMMOx],in CFG files
