Automatic flak gun firing?
I'm starting to wonder. I have my number 2 order my men to man the flak guns, they do so, but then even with the whole RAF diving on us, they do nothing. They still wait for me to get on their case and man the guns myself
is there a way to make them actually fire? Otherwise having additional guns would be completely useless since quite obviously I can man only one at a time |
You need to use the binoculars then you press space bar to highlight the target and the desk gun will fire.

Umh, you mean the UZO on the bridge? The problem with that is that it's very limited in elevation, so I cannot really get planes with it. How do I select planes?

oh, thanks, i got it now. Ain't it great that Ubisoft wants to do away with paper manual? I can't even count how many undocumented features this game has :haha:

You neeed to tell the deck officer to man the FLAK GUNS! Once done use your mouse button 3 (Wheel) and use the binos to ID the target. Once aguired hit space to lock and the crew will engage. Remember you can also set the parimeters for how to engage the target.

If you're using one of the Officer Order bars, you can set your flak gunners to open fire at will at different types of targets at different ranges automatically, just like in SH3.
The only problem is most planes remain out of even long range. And the gunners suck. :O: |
Well my game's AA capability is completely bugged.
First of all, it is almost impossible to highlight the enemy as the binoculars move up and down and I have to aim quite a bit above the plane before the reticule turns red, and even when it does it can never highlight it as the sweet spot is about as big as a pin prick. On top of that, when i do manage to highlight the plane, which is rare, my bloody gunners shoot hundreds of meters under the plane. How can I fix this? P.S. the planes have NEVER attacked me....not even once. |
