I'm running NYGM + GW + UC. The default Fatigue MOD is the excellent NYGM one. This is my 4th patrol in my new IXC, and my 3rd "long range" patrol. Th 1st long range patrol was West of Freetown. My 2nd was to the coast of the US, as is my current patrol.
My concern:
I have set the 3D Rendering to 256. This way, I can travel the long distance to my patrol areas at 512 or 1024, with 1-256 TC for patrolling, and have the Fatigue MOD enabled. I have been using this particular system for some time now, with no problems. On my current patrol, I left Lorient on 2/27/42 at 1-256 TC. At around 75km out, after all of the traffic had subsided, I cranked the TC up to 1024 for the long journey to CA88 via CF78. I had the speed set to 1/3 for the trip to CF78, and then switched to ahead slow for the trip across the Atlantic (and to conserve fuel for my operations off of the coast of the US). I messed around with the gramaphone, took a smoke break, etc. When I started getting close to CA88, I dropped down to 1 TC to check my crew disposition, and get ready for my patrol in US waters (for the second time). To my horror, all of the crew that was not on duty (ie "in quarters") had lost 50% of their Morale. The crew that were "on-duty" were not affected. This has not happened on my first 2 "long distance" patrols, and my procedures were identical.
Is this supposed to happen? I was under the impression that, In my case, when the TC was above 256, the Fatigue Model should be disabled, with no loss of fatigue, or morale, in the case with the NYGM Fatigue MOD. This has been the case until now. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Montbrun
