I've finally decided to add the ability to change the officer's faces via the SH3Cmdr crew manager component.
Now, I have some of the mapping between the crewman's Index value and the associated Off0xx.tga file, but I seem to still be missing some. Here's what I've got:
Crewman's "Index" value = Off0xx.tga
12=Off011.tga
13=Off012.tga
14=Off013.tga
3=Off014.tga
16=Off021.tga
5=Off022.tga
18=Off023.tga
19=Off024.tga
8=Off031.tga
9=Off032.tga
22=Off033.tga
11=Off034.tga
But I've noticed in some of my crew files the following Index values:
7, 15, 2, 4. I'm sure there will also be others.
Can anyone fill in the blanks for me?

No need to respond - I figured it all out.

Now that I've fully cracked the officer face indexing (plus found an easy way to display tga images without resorting to third party components), here's the result...

You'll now have the ability to change crew officer faces. In doing so, the 3D head and whether a hat is worn will also be changed to match.
It's compatible with every Officer Face mod out there (well, that I've tested anyway!). But note that for integrity purposes the 3D head and hat (on/off) will still be based on the default SH3 images.

Cool! I like my Watch to have hats and the other chaps not too!

I vote for SH3 Cmdr being the most essential mod tool!
Is the officers faces version out?
Where can I get it? :rock:

Not directly, but you can achieve this by simply replacing the images in ..\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\Data\ofaces. SH3Cmdr pick ups up what it finds there, so will use your changed images.

Not out yet - it will be part of the next (and most likely final for SH3) SH3Cmdr release.

JSCONES!! Put in an extented overhaul function!!! After so many patrols the boat is picked randomly to go thru an extended overhaul which randomly chooses how long it should be overhauled!! I think this would be a very realistic function!! If u can it would be nice, but i was just suggesting. Since this is the so-called last SH3 commander version :(
