Ladies and gentlemen...help, please. Ihave for the 5th time tried to install IUB 1.03...and failed. Steps follow:
1. Completely uninstall SHIII via Windows XP removal tool.
2. Go into Drive C "Programs" and delete remaining folders in SHIII
and then the empty Ubisoft folder itself.
4. Clean install SHIII from disk.
5. D/L patch 1.4 and successfully install.
6. D/L Jones Enabler, extract to SHIII root folder, and open, using
the icon in the SHIII folder. Close Enabler.
7. D/L !.03 to "My Documents". Extracl WINRAR folder to My
Documents (generating a second 1.03 folder there) and move
that folder to the MODS folder in SHIII Program.
8. Open Enabler, find 1.03 listed, move to "active mods". close
enabler.
9. Start SHIII, go thru copy protection....and get intro movie and
plain vanilla SHIII.
I have a DELL XPS with every bell and whistle money can buy. And, before my HD crashed and was (professionally) replaced...I in fact ran 1.03! I am obviously doing something wrong (duh!). Can anyone suggest what it might be?
Thanks. I was born in an era where BW TV was the only available option, gas was 0.20/gal (full serve) and where you picked up the phone, got an operator who asked you what number you wanted and then manually cross-pluged it into the switchboard she was sitting in front of. Inside computer lingo means very little to this out-of-touch brain. Please bear with me on this. Thanks again
