This mods changes a few issues and adds a lot more too!
This mod is intended to be used after a clean install, SH3 patched to 1.4b and modded with Grey Wolves 1.0
Use the JSGME to enable this mod!
It contains allready most (93%) of the official GW 1.1 patch plus the Chomu integrated orders fitted for GW1.1! So if you use my add-on mod for GW1.0, and you want to update to GW1.1, you allready have it with this add-on! And thus you don't need to enable the GW1.1 patch since it's allready contained in this mod! I will not garentee the outcome, if you use further mods overwriting "my files"!
It is a mod intended for "mid-end" pc's (it runs on my 2.4 Ghz, 1GB ram, 128Mb graphics desktop pc!), gamers who want some realism, but not to the extreme! There is much more eye and ear candy -> extra or similar high quality textures, and extra or similar sound effects. Some corrections to the map and many more cities added to the world (F5) plus map notes of where to find the Bismarck battles! Water darker/more blur than original, but clearer than GW and RuB! Thus you may enjoy the tanker seafloor mod better - I have added the 128 Mb version, whereas GW1.0 added the 256Mb version! The deckgun uses a 10/12 second reload time and its loadout are 240 shells for both VII and IX (http://www.uboat.net/technical/guns.htm). And you may buy the snorkel in january 1941 (captured Dutch technology!). Look below for more info!

1) AIR:
I play with map updates, so you'll be able to see the air plane icons on the map
2) CAMPAIGN:
Campaign_LND: Corrections to status of Danish, French, Polish, Dutch cities! And I added many more cities to USA, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Australia & Russia! It makes no difference to gameplay, but it just looks better with a living world instead of an empty one... plus I added a version so you can choose not to be reminded of where to go in order to watch the Bismarck battles! Just remove "_NoBismarckNotes" from the file name!
Campaign_SCR: Traffic added of Danish and Swedish vessels plus some docked ships in New York and Kronstadt/Leningrad. I based this scripted layer on the GW1.1 patch, not the GW1.0_NYGM_UnitedCampaign!! Plus corrected some Kieler Kanal traffic from the improved Kieler Kanal mod! I have removed about 4-5 ships of the traffic in Kiel + Wilhelmshaven to improve FPS, when leaving port! And it works much better now with my 2.4 Ghz, 1Gb ram, 128 Mb graphic card!
Campaign_RND: GW1.0_NYGM_UnitedCampaign, modified by Carotio -> In random layer iceberg groups appear from 1939-1945 and not only 1944-45!

3) CFG:
Airstrike.cfg: more airstrike probability, little more deadly early, a little less deadly late.
Basic.cfg: reknown for grid/return raised (1000/500/1000), sinking of neutrals raised (-5), scores for rank levels and medals changed (captain plus crew), nb of days in base=2 (not realistic, but more gameplay per career!), nb of days for changing sub type=7 (VII+IX)/14(XXI), deck gun ammo: AP=60-HE=160-SS=20 (VII/IX) and schnorchel available allready from january 1941, but raised from 400 to 1600 requiered reknown.
Commands_*.cfg: from Chomus integrated orders fitted for GW1.1
Crew config: I chose some favorite qualities for my officers for the VIIb, and renamed the LI with my "germanized" own name... for fun!
CrewAI.cfg: when the deck gun/flak gun crew will react, between stock/GW
Flotilla.cfg: All sub types available in all flotillas!
Main.cfg: time compression values changed
Sensors.cfg: From earlier version of Atmosphere mod: you'll be able to spot 9 km away, but the user will not experience a slower pc!
Sim.cfg adjusted at visual sensitivity from 0.01 to 0.02 and fog factor from 2.0 to 1.5 (stock was 1.0). This should help spot airplanes on a clear day better, plus make your crew spot vessels in fog, when you can yourself!

Water of earlier version of water mod with data/scene.dat - still nice water, but not slow pc!
6) LIBRARY:
Cameras.dat - from RuB1.45 - it's better than GW, which is slow on free view in my opinion! But thats just taste perhaps!
GUNS_SUB.dat - original file! Somehow with GW, my crew pointed the gun in the opposite direction in auto mode, or just didn't hit the ships even with a deck gun officer! No go, José!
GUNS_SUB.sim: deck gun reload time is 10 seconds for the 8.8 and 12 seconds for the 10.5 as in GW1.1!
Sensors.dat/sensors.val: From earlier version of Atmosphere mod: you'll be able to spot 8-9 km away!
Shells.zon: The damage model from RuB1.45 for deck gun plus flak gun
7) MENU:
Menu/de_help.txt+en_help.txt: new F1 help menu fitted for new units and more!
Menu/de_menu.txt+en_menu.txt: names of grades changed a little, some internal text changed!

*.zon files: The damage model from RuB1.45. After having spent more than 100 deck gun shells on a small freighter and 35 deck gun shells on a fishing boat, I decided, GW mode (which I think is NYGM!) was slightly too unrealistic realistic... ;~/ , so I used those from RuB1.45 or original for some smaller ships as fishing boats, tugboat, small freighter, small tanker and coastal merchant to simulate easy targets for deck gun use, while I have left alone the bigger ships! The bigger ships should still only be fired at with the deck gun if allready wounded by torpedo(s)!
12) SOUND: music and sound effects.
Classical music or music from the 30'ies/40'ies (German, English, Soviet, American). All are as per GW-UA1.1 in ogg-format! I also included those from GW1.0 in ogg-format! Also included now is church_war_radio_mod_v1.0 in ogg-format renamed to all fit in the gramophone folder, meaning you'll hear them all the time you want! Off course this may annoy some "realism-freaks", but I find it okay.
Sound effects added are either extra sounds or some sounds better than GW in my opinion! From the GW1.1 update, I cut out all but one new sound (underwater sound)! The new speech files are there though!
13) SUBMARINE:
Crash depth=50 meters, storm conditions raised: II: 9 m/s, VII/IX: 11 m/s & XXI: 14 m/s, so deck/flak gun can be used more often, and torpedo max launch depth raised=25 meters or for XXI=50 meters
All the *.sim files are GW1.1, but I removed the *.tga files, which made a new navigation tool around the u-boats on the maps F5+F6! It seemed cool enough, but since the u-boats were NOT in the center of this tool, I had to cut it out! Quite confusing, and I couldn't figure out the reason for it, so untill further notice, it's the old tool, which is smaller than the new one, but it fits!
14) TERRAIN:
Locations for Denmark and some other countries ports, which didn't show up on the map with their ports in GW fixed!
Plus Kieler Kanal updated!!
Terrain\textures: I cut out most textures in this folder from GW1.1, since they were mostly the same as GW1.0, as far as I could see (?), and also to keep the 128Mb sea floor mod version!

Some of the harbour and environment textures changed, and a few interior textures changed (some naked ladies here and there)

I made a middle solution of the flag size to 256*128 (GW=512*256 and GW1.1=128*64)! For some reason, in GW1.1, all the other flags than the German, British and American were reduced to 128*64, but these three countries remained untouched at 512*256, if using GW1.0 patched to GW1.1, and it's mostly these three countries represented in harbours, and it was made to improve FPS in harbours... well, I hope this middle solution works for most people! It does for me! And then three new old-time posters for the radio room, one for each u-boat type! :-) Uhhh... you'll spent a lot of time there on those empty seas.... LOL! These three were taken from my resently published poster girl mod, but they are all made before 1945, so b/w photos for VII and IX and a colour poster for the XXI! The above shown images are in this poster girl mod!

In documentation folder:
--> Temp mod work, so anyone can check my changes to campaign layer in the editor! And basics and menu in the notepad!
--> I have also added the tool CDex 1.51, with which you can convert all your mp3s in the gramophone folder to the ogg file format. This way, it should not skip track anymore, as it tends to with the mp3 format! The files will be larger than the mp3s! You just create a folder named CDex, whereever you want on your harddrive, then unpack/unzip the archieve into that folder, and voilà you may use CDex to extract ogg-files from CDs, MP3s, WAVs and so on!

Many of these changes are changes, I made in my mod Unchange&Adding 1.1, which was a built on for RuB1.45 and Harbour Traffic 1.47 for RuB1.45, so the readme file of that is more accurate about who made what! I haven't announced its publish, because just as I was ready to, GW came out! Not all of this are my mods, some are well made mods by others modders, which I haven't credited in this readme file (sorry!), but they are in my other readme file!

Well, I didn't do them (read it while thinking at the voice of Bart Simpson...) :-j
But yes, the destroyers seem to be clones, where it probably are just a few variations in look or weaponry loadout lateron! Don't know it, don't really care, as I still don't have the nerve to go fully 100%! I did try it once and sunk a c2 with 2 torpedos in first ship encounter. Not bad, but I think it was luck! :lol:

This is great, as I have a 128mb Vid card. This is still compatible with SH3 Commander, right?
The reason I ask, is because I can change deckgun re-load speeds via SH3 Com. Will this create a conflict with your add-on? 30 seconds is too slow for my taste. :D

Don't really know about commander, don't use it myself, but I suppose so!

If glitches appear, which I can't check for myself unless installing Com. myself, then possibly it's because I have changed some values in the different cfg files! I kept however the fatigue settings of GW, which are in the basic.cfg. Medals does make a difference in my mod as in the original. Which again doesn't matter in multiplayer, so.... :roll:
Well, if you still like it after playing during the Easter, maybe we could arrange a multiplayer some day!
Until now, I have only tried with my desktop and laptop, and it is quite boring and frustrating playing multiplayer with myself... :(

Perfect... I got a little confused on install as extracting the first rar file extracts them all, Very nice, however I tried to extact part two and after many replace file and error messages, I almost gave up.
ONLY EXTRACT THE FIRST PART and all will be well.
My First impressions of this mod, exellent. Now I can appreciate the work that went into GW withhout the slowdown. Nice Work :rock: I have:

Have created a patch for my mod, which include practically and mostly everything of the GW1.1 update patch. Plus a little more!
I am testing in on a patrol, and so far it looks good!

First this pack took me 4 hours to get.
And i installed it and it rocked! :rock:
The sound is is well chosen and the Gramophone is fat too. I just had to remowe some marching-band music. :rotfl:
The graphics and changes to the game took me by suprise.
The radio-room is quite crowded and my Radio-man complains about that constantly! lol
I jut don't know if i like the fact that i had to crash-dive 4 times in a 2 days (in-game) cuz the Tommies gave me a hard time. around the Kingdom. The Air is quite full!
I love the new officers Icons; i think for the first time i think they're fitting.
Only thing that i don't like is the empty leer.tga. Together with the background i barley can make out the Officer submenu!
But totally Kudos for that pack! :hmm:

2) Don't worry, GW1.1 provided an update for that and this patch bring a picture of the navigators feet! Someone in this forum made it, and I like it! :)

You must have done something wrong here! Part 1 to part 6 is each of the size of 95.37mb and part 7 is 58.65mb. When all parts are dl'ed into the same folder, then use winrar (get it for free at www.rarlabs.com), mark first part, rightclick and choose unpack here! Then it should be 900+mb! When unpacking, there should be no questions about overwriting other files! When using the mod enabler, then yes, but not by unpacking!
I'm sorry that I haven't released the patch yet, but I have not yet returned from my testing patrol, and now while being on patrol, I saw someone made a GW friendly U-Boat War Ace mod. As soon as I return - I have 6 or 7 torpedos left in my IXb - I will try put in some of the new ships from the GW friendly U-Boat War Ace mod in my patch and then release it! I should probably have it ready for you friday evening or saturday (Europe time)! I won't include all of this new mod, since it will need a lot of testing as I see it!
Another reason for not being able to relese the patch yet, well I do try to have a normal life besides my u-boat captain's life, and lately I have been out trying to get a girl resently single.... hmm... hmm.... :|\

1) Did you download all from rapidshare or all from quickdump or mixed?
2) The rar-files, when looking at them packed, what are their sizes?
part 1+2+3+4+5+6 should ALL be the same (95.37 MB) and part 7 should be 58.65 MB!
3) If you use the latest version of winrar, right-click the first rar-file and choose "unpack here"
4) If you still have trouble, maybe you should try redownload the files! It can happen that a file has been downloaded only 99% but a download manager has reported it as being downloaded 100%. I have seen that happen before!
5) Will work on the F1 English version when having time for it!

i DLed the files form one source (rapidshares) and opened them with WinRAR 10.0. This time It worked. I'll make a seperate new install and have at it (as they say across the pond)

I originally made this mod for GW1.0
When GW1.1 patch came, I looked it through, and saw some critically important files were changed, so I needed to edit these files to make my mod work!
If anyone having allready dl'ed my earlier version, then the two patches of my own is needed: that is like this: GW1.0 + GW-UA1.0 + GW-UA1.1 patch + Sea + GW-UA1.12 patch
That is, don't enable the official GW1.1 patch, because I allready put it in!
New users should use this: GW1.0 + GW-UA1.1
The GW-UA1.1 is at the top of the page at my site!
The difference is mostly the addings rather than the unchange! I have added a lot more! Most people are able to find the mods themselves if they want, cause I have most of the content from several mod sites! Some things I have made myself though!

So you're not enabling this mod or any of the updates mid-patrol, because then you'll get problems for sure!
When enabling most mods, one must be in port!
Reason, for my mod plus the updates, I have been messing with the campaign files, and when a mod messes with the campaign files, it's 100% certain that the game will CTD!
So first you need to tell me that you didn't enable the GW-UA1.1 update and continue your career at sea!???
If you downloaded the GW-UA1.0, and you want to update, you need both the first and the second update! One can NOT just choose the second patch, because the second patch doesn't include all neccessary files of first patch!
So if your game worked with GW-UA1.0, then you need to enable these two too: GW-UA1.1 patch + GW-UA1.12 patch!
At best, unable GW-UA1.0 with JSGME, then delete the sea folder of my mod! Download the "Sea" patch at my site. Unpack this archieve into my mod! Then copy the content of GW-UA1.1 patch + GW-UA1.12 patch into my mod and choose yes to overwrite!
And finally then enable the new updated mod!
But still, you need to continue a career from port! That's crucial!!!!

An idea just hits me!
With 1.1 big update, you don't mean the new full version, do you?
If you have downloaded the new big full version (1265.8mb), then you don't need the old version and patches anymore....
Then only enable the new full version!
And again, choose to continue career from port!

Well, perhaps haven't tried to unpack the wrong way, but you may be right!
The right way to unpack is to download all parts: for the new full version of GW-UA1.1 you need to download all 10 parts before extracting. When having all parts, and 7-Zip installed, then right-click the first file, and under 7-Zip, choose "extract here"!
Et voilà !
To install: you need JSGME and Grey Wolves 1.0, and make it look something like this:

Sorry for you and everybody else having a problem with rapidshare, but I do think the problem is a minor problem! I hope once people have dl'ed my mod or other people's mods from rapidshare, they'll forget about the dl time! I use rs because I'm a premium user and thus having control of what I have to offer and availability of files!
Yes, I removed 4 or 5 ships from both Kiel and Wilhelmshaven, some friendly some neutrals! It did improve for me!
The Kiel Canal issue is more extended! Since it's not only the campaign_scr.mis file which is in use, also locations.cfg in data/terrain and the two BIG files in data/terrain/Data is in use! A total of 250mb! Most of this mod isn't my mod, it was made by TigerKatziTatzi originally! I just adjusted a few things! I removed his moving traffic, leaving only the docked ships, plus added a few extra ships, such as some of the new added ship types! So yuo would also need the content of my "sea" folder! The harbour issue or rather new cities, well I have added a lot of new cities in the campaign_lnd.mis. I have made a campaign_lnd.mis file in my documentation folder, which has only the added cities plus some corrected cities such as Paris and other French cities! But honestly, there's so much data which is connected that making individual cherry-picking of my add on is rather foolish, because it wouldn't be that much except perhaps the music/sound files, which could be left off.....
But I hope you'll consider dl after all, and hopefully give a positive opinion when finished!

Well I don't have time to sit here and download one after the other after my 75 minutes are up to get it in 12 hours, I'm waiting for the next one so it's been like 7 hours and I'm on file 3 waiting 14 more minutes, so at this rate it will be a while but as soon as I get them all I'm going to upload them to a torrent site so others will be able to get them a lot quicker in one download!
If rapid share would give premium membership for a lower price I might concider it but I can't see spending $10.00 a month for something I don't use that often..It's a nice service for geting a few files once in a while but to get a whole group of files from there that go together just takes too much time so I hope the mod is worth it like you said!

I have heard something similar about this problem! It was something about getting internet access through a proxy, whatever that is...
Were you able to dl the first file?
If yes, then try go to temp internet files folder and delete the rapidshare cookie...
And cookies should be enabled!

It was the unit "Fast Transport", which in German should be named "Schneller Transporter", so I edited the file in the units cfg file in the sea folder!
So I have here made a tiny little patch, which hopefully will solve your problem!
Just copy the content to my mod and then to SH3 itself, if you have allready enabled my mod! Please tell me, when you have got it, and if it solved the problem!!?

Well, partially it is made by me! Someone once made the routes (don't know who now!), and someone made the map with names for RuB1.45. I have just combined the two! In GW1.0 in an alternative mod folder, there was a similar map, but "my" map had more names on the map! That's why, I added it to my add on!
A seperate release? Don't really think so, but you can pass on the word about it to those you know want it!
But you are missing something, if not trying my add on! But that's your choice of course!

If I remove the 3 digit extension after the 7z file extenstion it won't let me save it, since they all have the same name? It does not seem to open with the extra 3 digit extension attached. If I remove the 3 digit extension on just one of them then I get an error message that it is not a recognized file formate or the file is corrupt. I have downloaded the latest verisons of both WinRAR and 7z, but I just the get the same error messages. The files that just have the RAR or 7z extensions without the extra 3 digits all opened fine. What am I not understanding?
I just read in an earlier post that you had to have all files downloaded together, and that the first one would auto-extract the rest. Is that correct?

I don't understand how to open these.

If I remove the 3 digit extension after the 7z file extenstion it won't let me save it, since they all have the same name? It does not seem to open with the extra 3 digit extension attached. If I remove the 3 digit extension on just one of them then I get an error message that it is not a recognized file formate or the file is corrupt. I have downloaded the latest verisons of both WinRAR and 7z, but I just the get the same error messages. The files that just have the RAR or 7z extensions without the extra 3 digits all opened fine. What am I not understanding?
I just read in an earlier post that you had to have all files downloaded together, and that the first one would auto-extract the rest. Is that correct?

Well, it's taken me several days and several trips to the library; I've downloaded all the files except 1-4, and now Carotio's site won't even come up! I tried the alternate sites for 1-5, but it won't accept the password.

After a protracted download that lasted three days I enabled your mod and I liked it very much. Up to this moment, I experienced an issue with a tug boat.
After starting a patrol, I sailed out of Kiel and went into the Nav Map (F5). When I returned to the bridge, I found myself infront a tug boat.
The tug boat was inmovable and when I asked the Watch Officer about its range, he replied to me "No visual contact!!!". Since I could not believe what he was saying, I checked visually with the UZO. Again, nothing appeared. It seemed like this tug boat was not there!!!.
I exited the patrol and went into the museum (by the way, I applied your fix to prevent CTD) and found that the tug boat also did not move in the museum, no matter which country it belonged.
Could you investigate this issue for me? Thank you for this mod, I was looking forward to try it out but in the beginnig it was only for GW 1.0. It was a good decision to update it.

I don't remember to have had this issue with GW-UA1.0, but I actually experienced it myself the other day with GW-UA1.1, so I'm aware of the problem, which is a problem if one crashes into a friendly tugboat and dies of it! So I'm working on that matter too, but thanks for telling anyway!

Problem solved! Patch on my site!
It was the dat file in the tugboat folder! I found a mod, which claimed to have solved the smoke issue coming from the bridge instead of "chimnee" (don't know the word or correct spelling right now!), but I didn't actually check it out before adding the mod in my add on! So just enable this, or copy the content to my add on plus to the SH3 folder! But don't do it mid-patrol => CTD!

On page one of this thread someone posted an alternate download site. It was there that I was having password problems; not your doing.
Anyway, everything is fine now-I'm downloading the last two parts today.
I made that smoke fix, but it was made using an unpatched .dat file of the tugboat. Apparently, .dat files of unpatched games don't work with 1.4b updates.:oops: I may release a new version later - in the meantime, another solution would be to replace the rest of the tugboat's files with versions from a stock unpatched game.

Oh, yeah, it was you! That's right! in newer versions of my read me file, you and others will be thanked for their contributions! I hope you don't mind, me adding your mod, but I thought, if the GW dev team don't do it, then I'll do it... ;)
So since you're working with new units, what does the dat files contain other than tga files?
I just resently became aware of this issue: the bordinstrumente 1.2 added an exe file to examine dat files, which gave me opportunity to really add all the new textures, which I had put into my add on. They didn't show up all before, but after the next patch, they will! :up:
This smoke fix was just the dat file, so actually, people could just unable my mod, delete this file: data\sea\natf\natf.dat and reenable my add on! Untill a new smoke fix will be available!
.dat files contain the parts of the actual 3d model, (hull, cranes, funnel, vents, lifeboats, etc.), and the locations of each of these parts. It also contains the locations of non-3d node points, such as sound files' originating points, flags, and cargo. Most other details are included in other files (damage models are in the .zon, for example).:yep:
Also, most .dat's actually do not contain the actual texture (i.e. multiple skin ships). Of the ships which have embedded single textures, Sergbuto fixed the C3 and many of the destroyers, and UBOAT234 recently fixed all of the rest (even the four coastal crafts). You probably already know some of that though.
EDIT - And no, I don't mind having my ships included in free mod packs - I like to see other players enjoying them.

If only I knew...
I wanted to preserve the orange colour, but when I changed the colour into blue for "old news", the "new news" colour was changed automatically into black! So it's not something that I did! But it's not one of the things, which annoys me the most! I have other priorities in the moment...

Yeah I tried Azareus no luck with connection..plus I think as a bitorrent azareus is really user unfriendly...I much prefer my BitTornado......never has let me down..
Burst is another great torrent down loader but it does not work well under XP so you have to run it in compatibility mode Windows 98 or ME.....

This looks like great work! Nice to see some of the Pacific cities in there like my own, Vancouver! (One thing I did note a long time ago, the maps seem to be made from recent satellite photos.. there are two man made features you can see in the Vancouver area that would not have existed then.. but what can ya do ;) )
I would however like to ask if someone can give me a list of everything I would need to use this mod.
As my install sits right now I have the 1.4 patch, the most recent GW and a few skins. I do use SH3 Commander for a fule minor options tweaks.

For my add on, you need only SH3 v1.4b + GW1.0
Then dl and enable GW-UA1.1 + GW-UA1.13
Don't use GW1.1 with my add on! I have provided all essentiel material from the update. I have only removed very little, which corrupted the gameplay!
One note though! GW1.0 provided some music in mp3 format! I have transformed these files into ogg files instead! And these ogg files are in the GW-UA1.1, so any of my mod users should delete those mp3s, otherwise you would hear those tunes twice in a rough! Reason: Well, the mp3 tends to skip during playing a track, so ogg works better within SH3!

I was just wondering if this ever got hosted somewhere besides rapidshare? I tried the torrent listed earlier but it was a no-go. (The one gizzmoe posted for 1.13 worked a charm, thank you to the 1 person who was seeding.. I am making it 2 for the next few days.)

Same as - am downloading 1.13 thru torrent now ( 1 seeder ) but cant get 1.1 on torrent and cant get anything ever off rapid**** and for some reason or other Snakech page wont let me in which is unusual

I feel your pain brother, with the wait it is taking an average of 90 min per file from rapidcrap.
When I click the Snakech link I just get "Page cannot be displayed" no option for password or anything, I think this has something to do with me using IE 7 Beta.

Ok, finally finished getting the files.
I installed (through the mod enabler) GW 1.0, then GW+UA 1.1, then GW+UA 1.13
Everything appears to be working fine except I am at dock on Sept 1 in my Type IIA, 1 Flot. So why am I in Wilhelmshaven?? lol
Can anyone tell me if this is an intentional feature of the mods? And if so possibly an editable file to put it back? (Sure Kiel sucks but ya know... realism 'n all.) :up:

I can't open these files. I dl all three from rapidshares and put them into the same folder. I then tried to open them with 7z and got a file 189 mb which was compressed and unable to be opened. How do you get the files opened to use with the JSGME?

In Windows Explorer right-click the first archive (Grey_Wolves-Unchange_Adding1.13.7z.001), then select 7-Zip/Unpack here. This unpacks all three archives.

Well tried it out.. it is a very nice mod but too unrealistic for my tastes. The really big killer for me is the colored map contacts. I don't want to see if it is friendly, neutral etc just by looking at my map. That mixed with Flot. 1 being at Wilhelshaven, and I think I read somewhere that you can get all boats with any Flot.
The work you have put into the maps is amazing and having seen them in game I will always get a twinge of regret playing without them now. Maybe at some point in the future you could release your map changes without all the rest.
Anyways, it is a great mod Carotio and I am not saying it isn't, just that it is not to my tastes but I am sure many will enjoy it!

Yes, you can get all boats in all flotillas! Realistic? No! But have never claimed so!
I write clearly in readme file that it's mix of realism and fun gameplay!

No I think your mod is very good. I believe it was "Highbury" that was having questions concerning that campaign. It was how you phrased your response that had me wondering. Just a little "old age" confusion.;)

I used FDM with RS also, when I was a free user, and I use it with all other dl sites! And FDM never gives me problems, unless it's a windows related problem...

You can skip the GW-UA1.12b and the GW-UA1.12c. These two were just temporary small bug fixes! They are put into GW-UA1.13!

hm, i have checked once again my files on my server and unpack all files with 7z, everything is working perfect, you must only rightclick on the first file .......7z.001 and click on unpack thats all. Please report

Perhaps a fresh reinstall of SH3 would help...
Patch for 1.4b with GW1.0 + GW-UA1.1 + GW-UA1.13
Then it should work!
If not, please tell, if you use other mods!

You're sure that the GW-UA1.1 you enabled was the big mod from box 4 of my page?
Hopefully, you're not trying to enable the GW-UA1.1 PATCH from box 3! This patch is a patch for GW-UA1.0 only! And yes, I know this patch has the same name/number as the most recent big mod in box 4!
EDIT:
It may be a stupid question, but the CTD is that during loading of SH3 or during loading of patrol? If last, I don't hope, you're reloading mid-patrol! I just had to ask...
And what's your pc spec.?

All right then, it seems you have done, what you should! Then I can only imagine that you must have experienced an incomplete download or something!
When right-clicking the mod folder for GW-UA1.1, I get this info:
2171 files in 451 folders using up 1.348.329.472 byte of disk space
When right-clicking the mod folder for GW-UA1.13, I get this info:
226 files in 75 folders using up 722.161.664 byte of disk space
Do you get the same info?

It's a file created by a tool named QuickPar, which was/is used a lot in the usenet. When uploading/downloading archieved material, usually in rar format, but it will work just as good with any other like 7-zip, sometimes incompleted dl's can be checked with par2 files, and if the dl'er has a corrupted dl, QuickPar will repair the archieve!

There is a tutorial at the site! When creating par2, you need only about 10 recovery blocks, this should be sufficient and less time consuming in the creation of the par2 files!

The work you have put into the maps is amazing and having seen them in game I will always get a twinge of regret playing without them now. Maybe at some point in the future you could release your map changes without all the rest.
If you have dl'ed my mod, then just enable my Campaign_LND.mis, and then you have it!

My campaign_lnd_mis file is the gw campaign_lnd.mis file merged (mixed) with my extra info, or in other words: I have built my campaign files on the GW campaign, so no, you should have no problems, if you choose just to add my campaign layer to your install! Though, you'll only get the "black dots" telling where the cities are! In my recent patch, I added Sassnitz as an attempt to add ports to the game! I do intend to add more ports over the time...

The next patch is still not ready, but I'll tell you now, what I am working on!
I have finally tried to put in some harbours on the map, and in my latest patch I managed to put in Sassnitz - with traffic! Now I have put in Dunquerque and Suez too, and so far I'm pretty pleased about it! :yep:
As you know, if playing with my add on, I have put in a lot of new cities around the world! My plan is of course to make those cities alive with ports and traffic! Since it's pretty time consuming, I think I'll add no more than three other city ports for the next patch; which? Let it be a surprise! ;)
Just wanted to share my enthusiasm about this aspect of modding and new stuff in my add on! :up:

Dadadadaaaaaaaaaa! :sunny: Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you:
GW-UA1.14, the fourth patch! This one fixes some small bugs, adds 2 more units plus I have added port facilities with traffic to 5 cities: Dunquerque, Cayenne, Tokyo, Masawa and Suez, plus added/corrected some GW entries for cities: Cuxhaven, Rangoon, Madras, Calais2, Rotterdam & Zeebrugge!
However, since my history knowledge about Dunquerque is a little vague, I have not added the famous Dunquerque escape, but at least the harbour is there now, if somebody would help create the traffic! (Rubini?)
You can get it at my site! I have added par2 files, so you can check your dl's before complaining! :up:
Anyway, since it's summertime in Denmark now, I will probably not work too much with my add on, neither is it certain that I'll respond right away from next week and untill august!

I think the program´s idea was to represent a light fog situation but the it affected the clouds badly. Since the effect was very unpleasant, I saved and returned to windows xp.
When I reloaded the game, the problem was still there, so I decided to uninstall your mod.:cry:
I decided to try NYGM 2.0 but since I liked the seafloor included in previously in your mod, this time, as a stand alone add-on. Again, after a couple of days I dived and when i surfaced, the same graphic artifacts within the clouds and the fog !!!:damn: .
I think the sea floor mod for 128 graphics card included in your mod might be causing troubles with your mod, Do you know if somebody else also had this problem?
By the way, you are doing an excellent job. I remember the kick way you solved the unmovable tug boat issue that almost cost me my life. I am please with your idea of upgrading interior textures since they looked poor by comparison with other mods.
The other thing that I did not like was the menu bars. I think that you should try to make your console a sliding one instead of being traslucent.
I hope you could investigate the sea floor issue and if you keep improving your mod, i will surelly try your mod again (the problem is that I can never keep up with your work, I install one version and you just finish the next!!!

Hmm... no, I haven't heard of similar issues! Do you have a 128mb card or a 64 mb card? As GW added the 256mb version, I added the 128mb version! There should be a 64mb version available too somewhere, maybe you would need that one! I also have to ask about your mod enabling: if you did as I write on my site!? And pc spec also!

For your information, I have a 9600 XT built by ATI with 128 MB of RAM using Catalyst drivers version 6.2. My CPU is an Athlon xp 3200 running at 400Mhz and I have 1 GB of RAM working at the same speed.
As you can see, it is not gaming rig according to the latest standards, but it is reliable and I am happy with it.
None of these components were overclocked but maybe the graphic card got some heat anyway and produced the artifacts. I took some pictures of this phenomenon, unluckily, I was using NYGM 2.0 at that moment, but the screens looked the same.
I could host them in Photobucket but I do not remember how to make them appear in a post.
Regarding the hidden console controls, JC Wolf previously did some interesting work combining slide out dials, shorcut menu bar and repositioned console command that completely dissappeared and only showed up on demand using the mouse cursor.
This mod was intended to work with JonZ´s high resolution recognition manual. I remember that when you released your first Add on for GW 1.0, somebody told you that trid to use the mod I mentioned to you with your work but had problems with the shorcut menu bar. I do not remember if the thread was post in subsim or in SH3 forums.
Anyway, the JC Wolf mod thread number is 51051 and can be viewed ( I think) under the sticky thread titled "List of modifs./mod tools/ mod tips (updated 14/04/2006)
If you could hide complety the controls, the inmersion factor could be greatly enhanced!!

I have corrected some locations data so some missing 3D ports will appear like Rangoon! In GW-UA1.14 I added Tokyo! I do intent to add more 3D ports over time! So far, I have been reworking the campaign_lnd layer!
Thus presenting you 4 previews! The update will probably appear in august since I will go on vacation now (bringing my laptop, if I get time for it, will rework a little more...)

The unified campaign, if I recall correctly added new stuff in Campaign_RND and Campaign_SCR, but not Campaign_LND.
The GW compatible UWaC 1.6 appeared quited some time after Unified Campaign, thus I compared the two Campaign_RND layers, and GW-UWaC had several more traffic than UC, particular at places, where UWaC had 3D ports and GW doesn't! So the Campaign_RND for GW-UA1.15 is FOR THE TIME BEING being tested with a merged UWaC ! I say merged, because I have added some to the random layer myself, and I intend to do so in the far east as well!
The Campaign_LND is based on GW1.0. I think the GW1.1 update only added a new Campaign_SCR, so all my land layer is based on GW1.0
The Campaign_SCR is based on the Unified Campaign. To this I have added: my own scripted units: Danish traffic, some Swedish, traffic in the 3D ports which I added plus docked ships in some ports and more icebergs! Further I have added from UWaC most group units, many single units plus wolfpacks and dolphins!
In return: Your Nationality Mod 3.0 contains two files: flag.dat and flagS.dat, which hasn't the same size, I tried, since I don't know hex editing, to just rename the flag.dat to flagS.dat so that the small ships without flags would finally show their nationality! It didn't work! Would it be possible for you in your next version to make all countries available in flag.dat appear in flagS.dat too? Plus the three countries, which I mentioned to you earlier (China, Uruguay and Venezuela)? Did you get the small file, which I linked to you in a message?

Yeah, I know: it has been a long time since my last update! And now it seems my website host is down for the moment too!
Just recently, however, I updated my site with some news:
In order to complete the update for GW-UA1.15, I had worked on the campaign land layer, which has brought more than 1.000 entries, and your map will now be much more green/blue/red of all the new cities, and the changes will show the progress of war at about 80-90% truth to history: I have looked into websites, books and maps about WW2 in order to make it as correct as possible, but some dates and times may be inaccurate of course, but only a little! If anyone finds errors and can prove it by pictures or links, then please let me now, and I'll correct it of course!
This cll data will also appear in an independant mod, which I announced more than 3 months ago! So anyone wishing to add it to their own modded game can do so! Modders who want to add it to their own mod (such as GW, NYGM or UBWA) will of course also be allowed to add it if credit is given!
As my website is down for the moment, the progress info comes here:
I have finished working on Europe, Africa, America and western Asia. Far East Asia has been worked almost to the finish for the Japanese conquests. Then I need to work the recapture of the Allied Forces till the end. So it's not that much left!
