Hey everybody, I downloaded the Harbour Traffic 1.47 stand alone mod, but I'm not sure if it's working. I was in port when I applied the mod, but there doesn't seem to by any kind of a difference in harbor traffic. Is there any clear way to know if this is working?
I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly, I placed it in a folder in the MODS folder and activated it in JSMGE.
Thanks
Duster
What other mods did you have?
The original game has no habour Traffic, most new mods already come with harbour traffic.
So chances are you don't need habour traffic 1.46, I'm pretty sure 1.47 is the newest anyway.

Yeah I edited that, I do have 1.47 and I don't have any other mods, other than SH3 Commander. I'm just getting into the whole modding deal, and I thought this one was a good place to start :) The only thing is, I don't think it's working.

If you don't have any other mods, and you have harbour traffic, then I'd say it's working. Also, if you are in January 1940 ot later, you should be able to see milk cow/supply ships on the map. Check out the readme for the milk cow mod and look at the appropriate location based on the date. That is another clue you are OK.

Okay, well I guess it isn't working then. I don't have any friendly subs or what not. I must have installed it incorrectly. I simply download it, place a folder named Harbor Traffic into the mods folder and then place the mod into that folder and activate it using the installation tool right?
If you don't see various ships docked in the harbour and some others cruising around... its a sure fire way of telling that it doesn't work.
With your mod folder, make sure the HT folder is in the folder called Mods, and has a data directory diectly within it:
ie. silenthunter3/mods/HT 1.47/data
all mods need this structure or they won't work with the enabler

Roll back SH3 Commander before installing any mods. Did you unzip the HT stand alone file too.

Yes, you have to unzip that also, you'll end up with a folder that gets placed in the Mods folder. :)

Alright, thanks that worked :D
But I have another question, haha
Without unzipping the Air Power mod that comes with it, does the Harbor Traffic mod increase the allied air strikes? I was playing with the harbor traffic installed and there seemed to be a lot more airplanes bombing me than before.

The Air Power does not make more airplanes to spawn; just more difficult to shoot down.

Yeah I know that, but I was wondering if the Harbor Traffic mod increased the number of airplanes.
by the simple virtue that it adds planes patrolling over harbours, yes!
Though it is a campaign mod, and it has many more features than just a bit of harbour traffic, so it probably does add a few extra planes/higher chances of spawning.

One of that version of HT's features is the occassional high-altitude bombing raid on your harbor. The Allied planes will come in and bomb the bejabbers out of your harbor, and every flak gun around will shoot back at them.
I was returning from a patrol and saw explosions over Wilhelmshaven from way out in the Jade. When I got there there were ships sunk everywhere, plus a couple running for their lives.
The Airpower Mod actually reduces the number of planes in an attack, but makes them a lot tougher.

That makes sense I guess, when I was going from Lorient to Gib. I couldn't go two minutes without being bombed by something or another, it was kind of annoying actually. It just seemed like there was a heck of a lot more airplanes than before.
