Delete the ManTelBA.datfile from the Library folder due to which in the interior the periscope rises twice and the hatch opens!
This was the wrong decision. This file is responsible for the landing of the "horizontal". Duplicate command file to be deleted - DD_Interior.dat

Finally got this mod to work - sort of. And yes I followed such installation instructions as were provided to the letter.

Glitches

When starting the error message "Unable to read parameter 2" appears. Closing the error window allows the program to load and run;

BUT

Exiting the program produces the error message Silent Hunter has encountered an error and needs to close and the task manager is needed to actually finish closing the program.

The UZO does not appear at all whether using "U", or the icon. Tried <Shift+U> and <Alt+U> but no joy. Obviously, without the UZO, early war careers are broken.

Activating "Ships_SH5_WOW" causes at CTD during the loading process.

Pluses are that it looks great, load times are acceptable, and saves seem to work.

Running Win-7 and here's the currently active mod soup:

I think most patches are already installed and not need to be activated with Jsgme. Just adjust the option selector.
I can't say only about the chronometer at the moment, i haven't gotten there

Some time ago the game crashed while watching a Victory ship from the Sh5 ships. I decided it was due to my weak computer , now i haven't tried it yet

As correctly noted above, the patches are already installed and you can change the settings. On what type does UZO not appear? It really cannot be used until it is installed.

I removed the listed patches using JSGME and now GWR crashes to desktop after the "Not So Long Ago" screen. But at least the "Cannot read parameter 2" error message no longer appears.

No idea what the problem is.

I saw several problems:

When tracking a convoy, and a message was received about a formed wolfpack , only a one friendly ai uboat appeared, on the surface, without a crew, still a few shots were exchanged, and that was ...

During the tracking of the convoy, i received many messages to change the patrol square, finally i received a message with a pop-up window to change the patrol, for example in AL78, and i was in AL01. It is also possible that it is from corrupt files, when i have the opportunity i will try a new career to see if they will reappear.The option to change the patrol grid from Stiebler 4C is not activated.

Yesterday i did a short mission, i did not see these problems that i talked about.

The museum is loading and the SH5 ships are visible, i will see if there will be a problem when they appear in convoys

I forgot to mention that during one of the missions, i was attacked by a formation of about a dozen planes that collided with each other. I have noticed this problem before, in GWX 3.0

I think the two sound files from the Stiebler4b Addon folder should be inserted in folder Speech,in order for both options to work correctly :Air torpedo Fido and Smoke on horizon mod

I see you went with my .hsie torpedo failure rate values, I found them to be too extreme to implement in SH3 though. 40, 20, 5 for Impact and 50, 30, 10 for magnetic values is lot more desirable if you wish to change them on your end. Also my fatigue values for 24 hr period is alright, I have a revised edition and also a 12 hr one that I find more practical because with 24 hr one while reloading torpedoes and even external ones that take hr or two to load you barely notice any fatigue drop in that time so I brought it down to 12hr - that's if your willing to shift change your guys like 30-90 times a patrol depending on its duration. 24 hr is still good for lazy people lol who don't want to micro manage the crew as much.

Andrey, I can't give any feedback because I can't get the campaign to start, crashes at the end of red loading bar before patrol starts. Same thing that happened last version, actually last version I could get patrols to start but they would crash randomly in them this time can't even get one to start. Missions seem fine but never campaigns/patrols and I follow the install instructions to the letter by following the before.txt file and then following step by step in GWR pdf manual. If anyone can get the campaigns and patrols to work fine then let us know what you did differently from install instructions because i'm at a loss for words on this.
GWR is the only mod I have activated in jsgme right now so no other mod conflicts possible and I installed on a clean vanilla install version of SH3.
My documents folder where the save is, is named GWR as was already chosen in install procedure through SH3Multi.

I have i7 3770K overclocked to 3.9 GHZ, 16 GB ram and GTX 1080 so system specs should be fine/manageable. :k_confused:

I can't start the campaign ... but during the assembly I went for a tour of the track in the academy ... all the controls work well "obs" "hatches" etc ... I am "drip" Andey the trying campaign does not want to know anything .... it s strange before it worked ... it says congratulations anyway for the work ... (more than 4 years) i have never seen such a collection of emblems .. . besides there must be all ... so there are ....

Same, I removed the old GWR and went with fresh install. Sorry Andrey but your going to have to figure out on your end, maybe SH3 because of all the memory it needs for campaign combined with all the stuff and intense graphical mods you have that it overloads it. When Kal says they used to work before that's a yes and no answer, the careers did start but like I said earlier random crashes at random times in the patrol/s mainly close to ports, land or in high TC. Most SH3 players are campaign players and not solo mission players so it's beneficial too you and your compilation to maybe start fresh with bare bones of mods that you know work for sure with campaign .RND, .LND etc files.
- just a suggestion and in no way telling you to give up at all but the exact opposite, I want you to improve it but I can't test it for you if it don't even start up and SH3 doesn't create an error log for me to find out what's causing it.
It's just a shame because I was waiting for this and hoping for improvements/CTD fixes.:Kaleun_Mad:

Start with getting rid of all those Conus emblems (hundreds of the number u-boat emblems), use Tarjak's that has less and the kb size is minimal, those u boat emblems is 257kb each, these ones in Tarjaks are 15-25kb some are 197 and 257kb like yours but not many.

umm what else, take out all von dos ships, st naz,shulze ships with zigzagging ships from campaign layers if you have them in the .RND file and all that jazz. I don't think you use WAC full interiors mod but if your customizing stuff graphically inside (gauges, valves etc )and outside of the U-boat (body) that must have an impact, no?
This is SH3, an old game on old engine that maybe you can only stress it so much but what do I know, i'm a noob myself and have way less experience then you Kaleun, this is all I can suggest for now for the little experience that I have.:Kaleun_Salute:

I just spent all yesterday trying to figure out why MFM 3.3 won't work with Toyatagi's compilation mod but works fine with Onealex's. Come to find out WAC full interiors doesn't like MFM and Toyatagi's has it while Onealex's comp doesn't.
I had MFM working fine on Onealex and soon as I put WAC in with it in jsgme then it crashed every time on red bar, removed it and all was fine lol(albeit increased loading time because of all the ships). I had WAC interiors working fine with Onealex without MFM just so you know ;) Onealex's includes some ships already from MFM that he upgraded and fixed up, I just decided to add the rest of them to the mod making sure no duplicate names in sea, roster folders or Englishnames.cfg file.

So there's an example of something with not even the same name or same files or same location within SH3 screws 'other' stuff up randomly which makes no sense but could be any number of things going wrong with your compilation.

P.S Andrey is probably going back to the drawing board right now saying **** ****, **** **** lol, this is worse then the torpedo crisis. :k_rofl: All good buddy i'm just kidding, let me know when you got a fix up and running. :Kaleun_Salute:

Try pressing back slow or one of the reverse speeds and then quickly select flank forward speed - sometimes a sh3 glitch if that doesn't fix then its something in Andrey's mod that's causing that.

but you have SH5 WOW ships as optional mod in jsgme, wouldn't that not be loaded unless you activate it? Is that where the issue really is?
I don't think SH5 WOW ships are an issue because Onealex has them integrated with his mod and no issues, but again I could be wrong and they could be indeed a resource hog for what? like 6-7 models - maybe not worth having

True but his last version was still heavily taxed which caused random ctd's in patrols which still makes the compilation more or less unplayable if your a career type player. Maybe undo whatever you did since then Andrey and then look at things that are included in campaign too, what have you added to the campaign layers and also custom model textures made by you - start with that and review it all to see if you can compress or remove if its causing too much resource drain. You don't have too many ships in your compilation, I have a ton more in my custom version of Onealex so I think something else is causing the resource drain on your end.

Thank you Kyle the commands work again I do not understand anything ... for what of the previous versions there were always problems with CtD ... but the mod is not finished Andrey with a heavy hand with the mods that and the cause of these problems .. it would be necessary to inject memory with a third party program I am sure that it is possible nothing is impossible in computer science .. because this limitation is really MDR .. In the Ocean options it would be good to put away .. I'll test this when Andrey stops putting out fix after fix after fix all in a matter of a couple days...I can't keep up lol. Once you got a stable version more or less confirmed by others then i'll look at testing this further. I just want to enjoy some patrols at this time with added MFM 3.3 Onealex edition I made. I've been testing like 3 compilations for modders and want some 'ME' time now.

Everything works well and i find it very great..impatient to keep on

Juste few little questions :

It looks liké thé UZO is not located at thé same place than it is in other mods : it is at the rear of the turm, when it is generally at thé front in other mods. Is it normal?

I can see thé green colors of thé square on thé maps meaning they are neutral ships : in other mods, it was black meaning it was nécessary to have a look to identify if they Ally, enemy or neutral. Is it your choice ?

It s not clear for me how and which mods i should install using JSGME( ie : 16 km atmosphere and related ones ( Atlantic, méditerranean,...) And sometimes i don t find related documentation . Have you any suggestion ?

I've been playing other games online and playing single player patrols instead of testing compilations for others, when I get in the mood again i'll let you know. Just kinda doing my own thing right now Andrey but i'll revisit your project soon when i'm done my current career in the Onealex mod.

Start all over again by checking the work of the stock SH3. Delete the save folder GWR.

Hopefully the fixes were made while in the database. Speak specifically what year, what flotilla, what type U-boat, what mods you use. Otherwise, I won't be able to help you.

I have the same problems .. I think I have a problem with Commander or Stiebler I have never had so many CTDs from the start of the game, even without ordering..:k_confused:

I personally think its a SH3Commander issue, because try launching from Andrey's modified SH3.exe in the main Silent Hunter 3 folder. If you can start a career that way then we know its a SH3 commander issue.

my config gtx 1080 .. 16 gb ram core I7 hyperthreading it does not come from the config it comes from the game because there is ctd from the loading of the game .. it started it has version 21.8 some ctd then then it became unlivable 21.9 & 21.10 during the 21.7 I started a career even with the interiors..wac 5.0 Andrey made a lot of corrections but now I play does not work well .. there is only the naval academy that works..ctd sometimes
for my part I suspect "Commander" there must be something with that ...
or a bad assembly of the construction of the mods ... :hmmm:

spend time ... damage hard drives with repeated installations ...! untimely start-ups for limited results ... without the source code we are out of the way many of the old team are no longer active elsewhere I think they realized the said problem .. and we ended up giving up. Myself, I decided to take a break from the series and stop wasting my time..if nothing happens..d elsewhere SH4 and SH5 will do the same there will only be a few passionate people ... we need new blood ...

I found once the days of apps came around most games got ruined when they incorporated that in them. They just don't make games the same anymore, its all about what's most popular with the masses and making the most money even if the game is not accurate when they do it that way. Also social media and its stupidity is the reason why games can't have nazi symbol in them anymore and other symbols/statues etc.

yes kyle9154 submarine warfare is unlucky..i totally agree with you. Even I who thought that Crush Deph would be good, he is already taking the MMORPG direction which bothers me the dev thinks that has immediate yield with their console which will never be a pc ... in addition the developments are long for mixed results ... when you see Uboat I really don't like any atmosphere the game and pretty full of possibilities but I really do not like it in the current state once again the community has to do their job it becomes a nuisance ..

Yes I updated the link today, also I never crash unless in the rare occasion i get near convoy but that rare ctd happened in onealex mod even before I started using the MFM (that's why I always save patrol as soon as I get convoy radio report) with it so idk what's going on your end maybe same way Andrey can't figure out why GWR works for him and not others. I never overwrite because if things go wrong then you got to do fresh install of the whole compilation, again I have no issues running MFM 3.3 Lite from JSGME. I removed the library folder from that mod as I felt the Particlefunnels.dat may be overwriting the main one that comes with onealex so maybe that was causing the issue, only folders now is the two roster folders for American and British and the Sea folder. Anyways we can discuss more on that thread, this thread is for Andrey's GWR compilation not the MFM lite.

I know that Anvar has a custom made Baltic Campaign for 1941 and the start of the war with Russia in the Baltic, its a nice addition to play through JSGME...if you can get his mod to work that is hehehehe. Some things he made are brilliant but just not feasible memory wise all together but I would make that campaign available to all as a separate download here Andrey for other peoples mega mods to load through JSGME. It gives a nice different perspective from the U-boat commanders that were involved in the war for the Baltic and the constant danger of mines.

You haven't read the instructions carefully. First you need to activate the GWR via JSGME. Then apply MultiSH3, configure your HsieOptionsSelector_V16C and only after that run sh3.exe. Use SH3 Commander to start a career in the Red Baltic Campaign (June-December 1941).

I tried with the boats nothing to do ... I changed my "order" there is nothing to do ... the only thing I managed to do is play the academy with the interiors of Toyotagt86 ..ca me soul lol .. yes in wac5.2 there was not already a similar problem with "stiebler" since at the time Hansolo78 published a lighter version but there were problems ..

While, investigating another issue that also involves GWR... I came across the answer...

File to change that, is located:

data\Menu

en_menu.txt

& the change is made at: line 13=All you need, is hot girls... > 13=All you need, is good men... Heinrich Lehmann-Willenbrock

Save or hit the red X, select save... & done.

That other issue is... in regards to the add in through SH3Cmdr, of the Type VII-A... the date info is there, to add to the "date" folder... but... nothing about the submarine, itself... for the Uboat folder, there in the SH3Cmdr main folder. :hmmm:

So... My re-edited query now is... is the VII-A, indeed... a playable, selectable Uboat... or not.??? :hmmm:

If not, then... is there much sense, in adding in the "date" folder info, into SH3Cmdr, then...

I tried using the MaGui (1360x768) included in the zip... but, noted when trying to use the periscope... that things were not lining up right.. among a couple of other areas... so, I borrowed the MaGui 1360x768, from 1Alex's mod set.

It, is working like a swiss clock.

The only complaint I had... not really a complaint, per say... was the "All you need, is hot girls..." scroll across the bottom of the main menu load screen.

Of which I have since corrected.

Ok, so... after loading up, via SH3Cmdr., selecting a VII-B, will net it being a VII-A, instead... just so as to make sure I understand that correctly... :shucks:

Instead of the view when at attack peri station (to be more... precise)... being centered, the view of the outside was... skewed off center & to the left. That I can recall of... without removing current ws maGui (1360x768).

I'll... see of de-activating the WS I have currently active... & re activate the one included with the zip package & retry it... see if the issues I noticed still show up... this time, taking notes & see of grabbing some screen shots.

Give Me, a few to see of doing so... & shall report back on that. :yep: :shucks:

1st off... sorry about the... crudeness of the screenshot. How I generally use to grab them, for whatever reason, failed to do so with this mod set... no ideas how or why... but, no matter... can figure that out, later...

Peri view, managed to straighten itself out... no big shock, as have seen others post of things with mods NOT working right.. deactivate & go back with another attempt & low & behold... it works... or for the most part does, at any rate.

Is 2... trouble spots, as follows:

#1 (red outlined box, top right...)
On mousing over that area & getting that... whatever that almost clock looking thing is... to slide upwards & outta the way...

The Tube selector knob, is missing & the other 2 dial areas, same size as the tube selection dial area is... are flat out blank.

In addition, the single/salvo selector knob, is also missing, as is the knob for selecting impact or magnetic detonator.

# 2 (red outlined box, bottom right...)

That area... is totally borked. With the other MaGui (1360x768), all of it works, without any issues... at all.

Those areas, also in the Uzo view... are just as borked, as the Attack Peri view is... No idea if that also, extends to the Observation peri view, as well... did the check on those 2 views... & threw in the towel... on the basic assumption, if those are that way, is likely that the 3rd view, from the Observation peri... is likely just as borked.

After this, with the other MaGui (1360x768)... am reactivating it... & sticking with it.

Everything else, is working... Ace's... tops... swell... grand.

No sweat... being a... crash test dummy, is My strong suite... of which... have no issues with being one. It is, in My own small way, helping to contribute back. :shucks: :yep:

On a side note... noticed that I missed in My report, that when you get that... whatever it is called in trouble spot # 1, to slide out of the way... if I recall correctly, the knob for the speed select for the torps, was... also m.i.a, as well, with the MaGui (1360x768) included with the whole mod set.

My... apologies, for not mentioning that, in the 1st report back on activating it the 2nd time. :oops:

No need to apologize, my friend! You identified the problem and reported it. I found out everything that needs to be done to fix it. It's just 2 TDC files. If you set MaGUI (1024x768) in front of the Widescreen interface MaGUI (1360x768), then this problem will go away. I will take it into account in the next version.

removing this one is to avoid unnecessary things because with Diego Gut's interface I should even have the interiors which was the case before ... but I don't have it anymore ...

Yeah same as Kal here, crashes every time but at least this time the patrols start so that's a plus..I guess. I'm going to have to put this on the back burner and just keep playing my new career with Toyo's mod as its frustrating to never be able to get this to work as I very much want to play with your compilation mod.

yesterday I restarted my backup it worked but arriving halfway through my career crash after 2 attempts I throw in the towel ca soul ... I play medium 20mn then it's over .. CtD
I'm like Kyle I would like so much to be able to play yours ... with the boat compilation but nothing to do ...
