Hedgehog??

When I fire my Hedgehogs, it appears that nothing happens. Does that mean I missed the sub? I guess I was expecting an explosion like you see with Depth Charges...but not sure if I am doing something wrong?

I think you missed the sub.

Hedgehog is a weapon with contact fuse ammunition, no explosion without hit.

Today I managed to destroy the Bismarck with one of these (The HMS Queensburough was chasing her down, fleeing, and her 4 inch guns weren't doing much damage). So they can indeed make a big boom. But a hit is not guaranteed against a sub, and it has a narrow area effect radius.
