Hi folks, I just started playing CW again after seeing the SCS campaign and I also added the 2004 NthAtlantic one and decided to play around with the trafalgar. Now this isnt an important question cos i'm only doing this in a spirit of experimentation to see whats possible, so no need for overly long explanations.
I tried changing loads of parameters of the sub such as top speed and VLS and max Spearfish (30) and also modded the Spearfish somewhat,so the thing is the games plays ok but every mission i do is a failure.
Why would this be ? phantom torps maybe?
As i say this isnt an important question so dont give it too much thought , and im sorry for being long winded.
P.S. Isn't Max Spearfish a great name :) thx. all.

Why is the mission a failure? Operator play error or software-based?

Ah I didn't explain that missions fail despite all targets ,and they are the correct targets being destroyed . Also as an addendum to my question, why is it that a LA seems to be able to make a knuckle by only turning once whereas the Trafalgar ( and the Akula ) seem to need to turn port and starboard quickly before making a knuckle ?

:hmmm: Should be dependent on yer speed. If I'm going below 28kts, in a 688, I normally have tow "waggle" her tail to get her to throw out a knuckle.

O.K. Ive redone my "SuperTrafalgar" she now has top speed submerged of 45kts. and carries 20 Spearfish 0 Tigerfish and the usual missiles/moss and also has 100 noisemakers and the game plays properly. I suspect I might have had too many torps or maybe it was something I did to the VLS but it doesnt really matter because it was all just for fun anyway. Still can't make a knuckle though but nvm. thx all for your input.
