Your first U-Boat designation is randomly taken from game's roster which contains all type VIIA numbers available in that time period...Next time when you restart your career you may be assigned to U-28, U-31 or even the same U-34 ect (type VIIA boats weren't so numerous)...

I have tried reinstalling TWOS v2.0.0 but has made no difference.
Not sure whether re-installing SH5 will make a difference or is something that needs to be corrected at Warhams end?
Latest patrol mission has updated in correctly and showing the latest v2.0.9 update in my career.

By removing the login and password the old careers show up as in the picture below.
I have re-installed SH5 and also TWOS and still have the same problem as soon as the login and password load the error message appears.

Hans Orff 10/21/39 is the current career but of course I cannot update it as soon as the login and password are activated the error message apppears.
The career history is correct and has been updated and shows the latest TWOS v2.0.9 update.
There is nothing more I can do as I think it needs to be sorted out at Warhams server.

Yes, I deleted all but my current career in SH5 Documents.
Users shows only current campaign folders for career 1.
The old careers 2 and 3 showing in the picture were the campaign workaround tests I did for you.
Career 4 I think I finished in Happy Times and re-installed SH5 with TWOS new version?
You only see this without a login or password.
When I go to login I only see the current career and login error.

Edit : i had a problem with an old save. So you need to put ACES (button under bar button) like that you will find your captain. If you have no prob with a save just click on the name and make an edit.

I'm using KSDCommander with TWoS 2.2.8. Do I need to launch KSDC each time? If so, I'll just launch SH5 from KSDC. If not, what exactly are the requirements to keep your captain updated in KSDC? Do you just launch it whenever you care to look at it and it will pull in the entire history each time from the most recent save file? Since there is no longer a server, and I can't see in the manual the exact relationship between the save files and KSDC, to me it isn't clear what's the best routine.

I compiled the original source code and it's running successfully as a published web service under IIS. I reconstructed the SQL database from looking through the SQL commands found within the service source code. KSDCommander client can successfully connect and read/write to the DB via the service.

One issue is that unless I or somebody else fancies spending hours rewriting it into PHP or something, it needs a public Windows Server, if anyone's got one? I suspect that would be the major obstacle preventing it from living again to the public.

It might be fun to rewrite it to run under Linux, but that would depend on time.

I use it to read news. It also shows proper awards given. Game award system is horrible! And of course the lovely conservative ladies photos! If you are lucky you can see a knee or collarbone!

That would be very nice indeed. I think Jeff has shown the intention of doing something similar to what you are suggesting, but I guess that it wouldn't be as easy as eating a piece of cake...

Maybe a project then for later in the year.

KSDCommander sources already explains how to parse the save game files.
Compiling and installing SQL to get KSD service up and running locally explained to me the database structure requirements.
Finally I've already written a client/server/database app for a separate personal project (the server runs on Raspbian, and the client runs on Linux/PC and Android), so it would be a case of reading the KSD sources and rewriting the functionality around my framework.

If you want "as real as gets" awards, you must use KSD.

Also, KSD changes your days in bunker, you can see news of the war and have a record of your advance in career.

For these functions, you don´t need login.

Online mode doesn't work. Offline mode works fine with all the functions. In settings, disable the auto connection. If it is your problem.

I went to config and added several '0's onto the end of the size but it keeps happening. I get the basic stuff on my career but no options to change photo etc, and the button to start game from the screen gets an error.

IIRC this tool works best offline to get it started. I think you can also tweak the *.ini file (or other setting file) so that it will not search for online connections. All you get with online functionality are Highscores anyway, plus you can chose a custom picture for your Kaleun and edit its entry, otherwise all features are available offline too.

I have installed sh5 with TWoS and sh4 KSD-II, now when i trying run program with KSD, it's wrote to me that executable placing not in the game root folder... For what reason it's happens? Progrzam have to access to register? Why? It's just connection servise, where wroted path to save folder. What i have to do in it's situation?

Supposedly you can hear the gramophone music while running this program (I guess that's what the play, fast-foward and rewind buttons are for on the rght), but I can't hear anything no matter what I press, even after putting the volume all the way up. Anyone able to get the music working?
