Installing Or Re-installing SH3 Correctly > OS Compatibility Modes > SH3.exe As An Administrator

For this tutorial I am using > Drive D:
Make a new folder on the drive you are going to install the game.
The name you use cannot contain spaces.
No > Silent Hunter 3
Yes > SilentHunter3

At this point my anti-virus quarantined the game as Malware and I had to reboot my system then open the anti-virus and allow what was actually a false posititve.
I also needed to go to the game folder and delete the folder LSH3-2020 and restart the installation.

Running SH3 Commander and Other Applications As Administrator's
This Tutorial will show you how to run your > Applications in Administrator mode.

Changing Nvidia and AMD Radeon GPU Settings.
Check that your GPU is using the latest drivers!!
Important Note regarding latest drivers.
If you are running Windows 10 Creator version 1703 and after a Windows update now have a black screen when start your game you will need to roll back to an earlier driver version.
See my tutorial how to do this.

Change the GPU Scaling Mode to > Aspect Ratio.
Go to the > Control Panel to do this.

Why You Must Now Start The Naval Academy By Using The SH3.exe
Very Important.
The Naval Academy provides essential data to LSH3 as it installs and sets up the V15 Saved Games folder.

Adding Mods And Making Changes to the HSIE.
Making changes to the HSIE (Optional) > Pictures 1 to 5.
Adding Some Mods In JSGME > Picture 6.
If you wish to make changes to the > HSIE then must be done with the mod/patch disabled.
To understand what each mod does look in the HSIE manual.
All these patches increase the difficulty levels to your game.

If this happens repeat the loading tutorial again.
If you used the > Taskbar previously then this time go to the > Main Game folder and > Start SH3Commanderfrom from there.
If you get a further > CTD then you need to look at using or changing the > SH3.exe to a different > Compatibility Mode.

Summary
There is nothing to say that any > Eprobungstelle Testing Mission has to be done at all, or you actually need to sink any ship or ships either.
It really only affects your > Renown and Crew Bonus points.
It does however give you the opportunity to practice and get used to your boat even if you go to the attack point but do not sink the ships.
I never really understood why you would be ordered to attack at 9 knots against a stationery target.
For an ideal attack procedure you would want to be stationery which would give you a better degree of accuracy.
Sinking the 2 Targets adds to your tally of sinking’s which is not to everyone’s taste, as it gives a false account on your Career each time a > Eprobungsstelle Test Mission is done.

Adjusting Time Compression (TC) For Port Movements.
Trying to move your U-Boat in and out of Ports with the Default TC Settings can be frustrating when every time the Watch Officers calls out “Ship Sighted” your TC immediately drops to the Default TC8 setting and cannot be changed until the Message Box reverts to the normal Message color.
To get around this problem I have made a small adjustment where the TC will drop to TC16 but you can often immediately go to TC32 by pressing the + key.
To make this change go to > C:\ Documents\V15\data\cfg\main
Make your changes.
Go to > File.
Select > Save.
Warning the higher the TC setting the quicker you are likely to encounter > Enemy Ships and Aircraft.

SH3Commander allows you to give each Crew Man > 1 Qualification.
Officers can receive 3 Qualifications.
To give > Otto Todenhagen a > Second Qualification as a > Machinest click on the Qualification.

Important information.
Note that the Game loading process can take 3 to 10 minutes or even more time depending on your system’s capabilities.
The Loading Bar will appear to have frozen near its end, this is quite normal and you just need to be patient.
It is highly unlikely that you will have a freeze but a crash can happen usually when the bar has passed the 50% point.
If this happens reload the game again from the > Main Game Menu > SH3Commaner Application.
Note.
Continual Game Loading crashes indicates that there is a > OS Compatibility problem.

Plotting From The Dock Through The Lock Gates.

You can observe the Lock Gates at the other end of the Lock through your Binoculars to see how long you may be waiting.

I had to chase after this Target and I managed to cut off the angle and then swung round so the Target naturally came towards my Stern Tube.
In the meantime the Bow Tubes were being reloaded.
As the two ships were constantly zig zagging they would lose a certain amount of distance so I am able to close the Range by using > Ahead Full 7 knots.

I have fired a diagonal shot at 10 metres deep 1 metre below the Targets 9 metre draft using a Magnetic Pistol.
This should cause an explosion anywhere it passes under the Targets Hull.

Note 1.
The Torpedo Solution option available from your Weapons Officer (WE) is similar to using Auto TDC but you actually see what is happening and how it happens.
As long as you update the data to the TDC by making regular use of the Torpedo Solution Icon he will give you the data and all you need to do is Fire when the Gyro Angle goes to 000.
This means that even if you are not at the ideal 90ᵒ angle he will still compute a Firing Solution for you.
Note 2.
The shortcut key > Q must be used to open the Tube doors first.
The shortcut key > W closes the Tube Doors.
The shortcut key > Y cycles across the Torpedo Tubes.
Moving from one Torpedo Tube to the next automatically closes the previous Tube Door.
Note 3.
The 2nd T2 Tanker was finished off with the Deck Gun at a Range of 3000 metres with me firing it manually.
My speed was 7 knots to match the Targets.
I checked the Targets position from time to time by going to the Navigation Map and using the Compass Tool to check the Range.
At this sort of Range you are unlikely to come under attack from the enemies weapons.
It is pointless letting your Deck Gun Crew do the firing at this sort of range as they will not hit anything and waste ammunition.
Note 4.
The Transport ship was sunk by using the Deck Gun only.
It takes a lot of shells but if you can get them in the right place then you can get a result.
Armour Piercing > Aim at the Waterline.
High Explosive > Anything above the Deck line.
Note 5.
When you see ‘No officer at the helms station !’ this is because of the pictures being taken when submerged.

Firing Torpedoes From The Attack Map F6.
The Target remains Locked in the Periscope Station.
The > 2 Gyro Angle Dials are used to monitor when to Fire Torpedoes.

The perfect firing solution is when both Dials are vertical as in the Picture.
The U-Boat is correctly positioned for a 90ᵒ shoot as you can see the Torpedo Track Line runs down the 0ᵒ bearing.

Unlock the Target in the Periscope Station F3.
Click on the Red Auto Button.
It will turn Green to allow access to the TDC.
Using the Bearing Dial has the same action as moving the Periscope.
You will see the Torpedo Track Line move as you move the Periscope Bearing Dial.
Range and Speed always have to be entered manually.
The Torpedo Track Line will change length as the Range Dial is moved.

Game Freezing Problem After Installing.
The problem is usually caused by a corruption in C:\Documents\data\cfg\main file where there maybe something missing.
This is will normally happen straight away after loading your game for the first time.
There is a similar file also in your > Main Game Folder > data\cfg\main which will continue to show the default settings when changes are made in C:\Documents\data\cfg\main and do not need to be changed.
This is my Time Compression settings which gives better Port maneuverability.
Option > Copy and Paste it to replace yours.

Compasses On All Navigation Map Tools Mod By Pisces > LSH3 Compatible > Enable JSGME.
Do not use the Navigation Map Tool Helper with this Mod if you want the Compasses on all the Tools.
I found this mod and it looked interesting.
I do not like the Way Point Tool as the default LSH3 one does not allow you to make accurate positional bearings on the Navigation Map.

The only issue i have found is with the Marker Tool's X Mark is a little out of position and does not place the X where it should and needs to be dragged to the correct position.
It is not as bad as it sounds and the benefit of having the Way Point Tool with precise bearings makes this mod worth while.

Improving The Deck And Flak Gun For Use In Bad Weather By K-61.
I have never quite understood why with wind speeds over 7 m/s you cannot use your Flak Gun when mounted in the Winter Garden.
While accuracy might suffer with the pitching and rolling at least you have a chance to defend yourself against that surprize Air Attack.
While I personally would not use this for the Deck Gun with sea flooding over the Deck casing it can be used.
To get the accuracy needed put the Telegraph to > Back Slow.
This is not a perfect fix but, it will allow you to man these Weapons in situations where previously you would not have been able to.
Each U-Boat’s > CFG file has to be done separately for this to work.
Changes need to be made as described in Path 1 and Path2.
the changes then need to be saved in both Paths.

How To Calculate A Targets Speed By Using The Periscope Cross Hair.
Count the number of Seconds it takes for the > Targets Bow and Stern to pass across the > Periscope Cross Hair.
Time taken = metres per second.
Multiply the number of seconds taken by 3,600 (number of seconds in an hour)
Divide the total by 1.85 (To convert KPH to Knots)
Length of the Target is needed from the Recognition Manual.
Target > Small Merchant 1,700 tonnes.
Length > 78.3 metres.
Number of seconds taken > 25.
Length 78.3 divided by 25 seconds = 3.13 metres per second.
3.13 metres per second x 3,600 seconds in an hour = 11,268 metres (11.2km).
11,2km divide by 1.85 to convert Kilometres Per Hour (KPH) to Knots = 6.05, or 6 knots.
Target is traveling at approximately 6 knots.

How To Convert Kilometres To Knots.
Example > Ship Travels 240 metres in 1 minute.
Calculation > 240 Metres x 60 Minutes in an hour = 14,400 Metres = 14.4km.
To Convert Kilometres Per Hour (KPH) to Knots divide by 1.85
14,400/1000 = 14.40/1.85 = 7,783 or 7.8 knots = 8 Knot.

Adding A New Mod O2-Gauges v2 To The Mods Folder

Note.
This mod increases the difficulty level of the amount of Oxygen available.
The Oxygen in the U-Boat is replaced each time the U-boat surfaces to the Normal value of 21%.
When submerged the Oxygen level starts at 21% until it falls to 17% when Pressurized Oxygen is taken from Bottles.
This Oxygen cannot be replaced until you Dock again.
If you decide to use the > Oxygen Fix patch it is advisable also to replace the existing > CO2 Gauge with a new O2 Gauge
The new gauge changes the graphic design of the former > CO2 Gauge into an O2 Gauge.

John P Cromwell 45º Attack Method Revised For SHIII.
This method is very useful if you are one of those gamers that likes to get inside the Convoy Lanes.
Firing across the Lanes at 45º rather than the conventional 90º shoot means there is less chance of hitting the wrong Target.
Getting the Target’s speed.
1. Mark an X on the targets bow.
2. Run the 3 minutes and 15 second speed method.
3. Mark an X on the targets bow again.
4. Measure the distance to both X marks i.e. 600 metres = 6 knots.
5. Draw a line through both the X Marks to make a TCL 270ᵒ past the U-boat.
6. Place a 45ᵒ angle on the top of the TCL at a convenient place.
7. Move the U-boat on to 45ᵒ line if possible or parallel to it.
8. Use the Formula below for the attack.
The Formula used showing in the table below is drawn by making a separate diagram on the navigation map.
1. Draw the targets distance covered 600 metres at 270ᴼ.
2. Using the protractor place the 45ᴼ angle so it rests on top of the first end.
3. Take the Ruler and draw a line for the torpedo range that you are going to use 1,800 metres.
4. The calculation is Torpedo speed Slow 30 knots x Targets speed 6 knots = 1,800 metres.
5. Place this ruler line on top of the 45ᴼ protractor angle.
6. Take the ruler again and draw out another line from the opposite end of the 600 metres line.
7. Place one end on the end of the 600 metre line and the other end on top of the 1,800 metres line.
8. With the protractor make an angle on top of the 2 lines =11ᵒ.
9. This 11ᴼ is used for setting the AOB.
10. Move the periscope until it shows 0ᵒ = 45ᵒ
11. The firing point is 360ᵒ – 11ᵒ = 349ᵒ on the periscope bearing the Gyro angle will show 000.
12. The AOB always starts at 45ᵒ whether it is Port or Starboard.
13. The AOB setting is 45ᵒ - 11ᵒ = 34ᵒ AOB Starboard in this scenario.
Entering the data in the TDC.
1. In this scenario the target is coming from the left to right (Starboard)
2. The targets speed we know is 6 knots.
3. The torpedo speed is Slow = 30 knots for both G7a and G7e type torpedoes.
4. Enter the data in to the TDC with the periscope bearing on 0ᵒ.
5. Enter the AOB as 45ᴼ on the 0ᴼ periscope bearing.
6. With the TDC closed move the 0ᴼ bearing until you see the Gyro angle showing 000.
7. The periscope bearing showing is the firing point.
8. As soon as the periscope is moved the TDC will recalculate the new data automatically.
9. A range to the Target needs to entered in the TDC but has no effect on the outcome.
Torpedo speeds (Multiply the torpedo speed by targets speed)
G7a 44 knots = Fast.
G7a 40 knots = Medium
G7a and G7e 30 knots = Slow

This GUI mod can be used to replace any of the LSH3 GUI mods.
This Mod can be Enabled anytime you are Docked.
Ahnenerbe’s mod raises the Manual Targeting difficulty level as it will not give you any help from the Weapons Officer (WE) in either > Identifying Target’s or giving you a > Torpedo Solution.
Some very good touches have been made to this mod by Ahnenerbe, too many to go into.

Note.
This mod is not compatible with the LSH3-2015 transfer process.
Before starting a Test Mission the Ahnenerbe WideGui 1920 x 1080 Final must be disabled in JSGME.
It can be replaced temporarily by the LSH3 default wide screen mod for the test mission.
Before starting your next mission the mods can be reversed again.
Note.
There is no switch in the > Periscope Station for switching the > TDC On and Off.
Use the Short Cut > CTRL + T to overcome this problem.

A.O.B. Angle Charts Off 90 Degrees.
A.O.B. Angles Off 90ᴼ is really 1 Chart in 2 Parts.
These 2 Charts will allow you how to see the A.O.B. quickly at any given Angle when the U-Boat’s Course to the Target’s Course Line is set at 90ᴼ to it.
Option 1.
Placing the Ruler on the U-Boat’s centre to the Target’s centre and reading the Navigation Map Bearing Compass will show the A.O.B. position at that point on one of the Charts.
Option 2.
Using the Periscope’s Bearing on the Target and then using the Chart will give the A.O.B. Angle at that point.
This can then be put manually into the TDC.
I would suggest adding 1ᴼ to allow for the time it takes to do this.

Note 1.
The Periscope Bearing and the A.O.B. are automatically controlled by the TDC when the Target is Locked.
This can be seen by the Gyro Angle 000 movement in the periscope Station and in the Attack Map F6 by the 2 Lead Angles Dials changing.
The Speed is usually constant but needs to be entered manually or updated in the TDC.
The Range while not important in a fast 90ᴼ shoot needs to be entered manually or updated by using the Stadimeter if shooting at a different Range.

It is recommended that these charts are copied and pasted so that they can be printed for easy reference.

There is no rule as to how many Bearings need to be entered into the Hydrophone Tracker at anyone time.
You will need a Range or estimated Range to the Target at some point.

Steam Installation Instructions For LSH3-2015.
1) Install Silent Hunter 3 via Steam.
2) Find the copy of SH3 inside your steam folder like D: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Silent Hunter 3.
3) Now paste the entire Silent Hunter 3 folder somewhere on your hard disk like D: \ Games \ Silent Hunter 3
4) Rename your Silent Hunter 3 folder to "SilentHunter3". It is important that the name has no spaces.
5) You should now be able to install LSH 2015. Once you have started the installer the only thing you have to do is finding and selecting your "SilentHunter3" folder.
6) Only enable these 2 mods in JSGME before starting the SH3.exe and going to the Naval Academy.

Recognition Manual Information> Selected Merchant Ships.
I have produced these 2 pages of Selected Merchant Ships in Alphabetical Order as I find the LSH3-2015 Recognition Manual is not user friendly nor in Alphabetical Order which at least may have helped finding the information more quickly.
A separate section for Passenger Ships, Tankers, and Freighters in the Recognition Manual would have been useful.
If you are using the Weapon Officer’s Icon to give you a Firing Solution you will still need to know what Draft to set the Torpedoes.

Starting Your Career With A Type IXB U-Boat In August 1939.
I cannot remember where I found this or whether it works.
I discovered it after starting the LSH3 Tutorials.
You currently will have 2 options in SH3Commander.

‘Simulate Realistic Crew Transfers’ in SH3Commander How Does It Work?
This option will remove one or more Crew Men from your U-Boat.
You will find that Crew will not report for duty for various reasons.
Depending on the circumstances SH3Commander may assign you a New Crew Replacement or it may be down to you to Enlist a new one.
If no Crew Man is Transferred that is quite normal.
From the Main Menu click on > Optionen.
Picture 1 > Select Career Options.
Tick the box > 'Simulate realistic crew transfers.'
Apply.
OK.

Crew enlisted from the Office Barracks depending on their experience can have a 0 Renown cost.

Simulate A Realistic Career Length > How Does It work?
This option in SH3Commander is likely to interest the gamer who does not want to keep the same Captain all the time.
To ‘Simulate A Realistic Career Length’ the box must be ticked in the Career Option Menu before the Start of any New Mission.
Apply
OK.
Career lengths are random so you may go many patrols before a Career Transfer takes place.
There is always a reason for the Transfer which is shown in a Message Box.

This does not happen immediately as there is a time period before they are ready.

Note.
LSH3 has a problem with the Transfer process if there is not a Transfer available it will lock the game.
You will need to use the > Esc key to abort and get to the Desktop.
This does not cause any damage and you should not be concerned about this.

How To Transfer To A New Flotilla.
In Tutorial Post #52 I upgraded my U-Boat from the VIIB to IXB.
Having completed the Eprobungstelle Test Mission in the IXB I need to Transfer out of the Test Flotilla.
Looking at the Flotilla Chart will tell me what Flotilla’s are currently available.
I have decided to Transfer to Flotilla 7 based in Kiel rather than return to Flotilla 2.

Why Do I See “Null” When I Want To Transfer To A New Flotilla.
"Null" means you are too early in historical game time.
The Transfer to your new Flotilla is not yet available.
In LSH3-2015 you must complete the first patrol in
ERPROBUNGSSTELLE .
In real time this means 4 days at sea.
This 4 day at sea plus the days you spend in harbour to Transfer to another Flotilla has to be 1 full month!
The earliest date you can start in Flotilla 2 is 1st September or you will see PQ=null.
Never play a patrol by "Null" as you can lose a whole career this way.

How To Adapt The Mod Compass_On_ All_ Navmaptools for LSH3-2015
This is an old 2008 mod that was renamed and updated in 2012 by Pisces for use with OLC.
When used with _LSH3-2015_GUI_WIDESCREEN Mod this compasses mod has a very practical use as it replaces the Waypoints Compass N-S-E-W with recognizable points of the Compass making accurate Waypoint plotting for the first time.

For LSH3-2015 in its default state Compass_On_All_ Navmaptools Marker does not place the X in the correct position but offsets it.
Making a change to [Curser 2] corrects the Marker's position and places the X Mark where you expect it to be.

How To Change The Fuel Gauge To A Better Looking One
This Tutorial will show you how to replace the existing Fuel Gauge with one showing full numerical fuel levels.
This can be done at any time without disabling mods, as long as the game is not running.
Note > This purely a cosmetic change and is no more or less accurate than any others available.

How Do I Know Which Silent Hunter III DVD to Buy?
This information refers only to English language discs.
New DVD Discs.
You can still buy new DVD’s for SHIII made by Encore.
These come in two versions.
1.Silent Hunter II + Silent Hunter III (2 discs)
2. Silent Hunter III
The Encore version is Canadian but can be easily purchased from the USA or through Subsim.
Although these are new the main problem with the Encore version is that it will only install in the default program (x86) directory in the main drive C:
Second Hand DVD Discs
Second hand discs can be purchased from places like Ebay and also from Amazon through their third parties.
It is important when purchasing these DVD discs that you get a Starforce Free Version.
The DVD you are looking for will be showing ESS632.
The Starforce Free Version will be Black at the Bottom and White at the Top.
A typical File Version showing in Properties is 8.2.160.0
Product Version 1.4.0000< latest version 1.4
Date modified 18/08/2006
Do not be misled by the silver band at the top of the DVD case that says Games in white letters which is irrelevant.
DVD's With Starforce Protection
You do not want to buy this version as you will need to remove the Starforce Protection before the game can be played.
The Starforce Version will be Black at the Bottom and Silver at the Top.
These have a Product Version showing in Properties of 1.00.0000
This version does not have the latest patch and has copy write protection.
Tip.
Before buying e-mail the seller and ask if the disc is White at the Top and if yes, you will be ok as this will be the latest version.

Penang Fix For Eprobüngstelle Test Missions
Thomsen’s Sound Pack fix for LSH3-2015
When you use the Sound Pack, the Eprobüngstelle test mission AO 83 has you based in Penang, but the deployment location is near the southern tip of Africa.
All you need to do to fix this is to remove (or rename / backup) the file en_menu.txt from the Sound Mod's .\data\Menu\ folder.
I have no idea why the Thomsen Sound Pack mod would need to use that file, but it seems to work just fine without it.

Let me put this out there for folks thinking of buying SH3 on Steam for the purposes of modding: DO NOT, unless you have nothing better to do with your time and dont mind wasting the $, or dont mind playing unmodded SH3. Its still a great game stock.
There is a very strong chance that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get LSH or Commander to work on your Steam copy of SH3.

Having A Problem With Silent Hunter 3 Check This Post Out
Silent Hunter 3 is not compatible with Windows 10 and must be run in a compatibility mode.
Many players are posting the same problems with Silent Hunter 3 on Subsim frequently.
In this post you will find a range of fixes and essential applications and changes that need to be made.
GWX3.10 with SH3 Commander must also have installed this config file.

Problem Solving Check List
It could be an administrator or permission problem?
These are generalizations but are important in the context of installing correctly and making sure your game is trouble free.
Do not install in the Program Files (X86) directory by choice as this has restrictions which can affect your game.
Your game SH3.exe must not be showing read only, un-tick it if it is.
Make sure your SH3. exe application and any other applications you are running are set to run as administrators.
It is essential to run Windows 10 in compatibility mode for Windows 7.
Make sure your gpu is set correctly to run SH games.

Now i have done a completely new game setup with LSH3 mod to make sure all is clean and fresh. Mods have been enabled in the same order like before except the thomsen sound mod. Thats now the adapted 1 for LSH.
But when i start a training mission, eg konvoy attack, theres still no speech sound/cheering sound :(
But in single mission there is :hmmm:
I guess i have to play the campagne with no "Torpedotreffer" :k_confused:

I have found out about the "missing" sound files above:
when i start a career in August 1939 (2nd flotilla) and complete the first two mission (1. mission stralsund into the east sea, 2.mission at AM18 near the Rockall Banks) then there are no torpedo impact and cheering sounds.
But in mission 3 (when u are at war !) from now on there are the mission sound files. For me it looks like that the sound depends from the date u start ur mission at...strange but it works now :hmmm: :D

The first Test mission is pre-war against Polish shipping which would not be historically correct so you could say it is something that needs to be done to get the game started.
AM18 is different because the convoy approaching is in wartime and showing red so in this case you would expect to crew response.
I think because this AM18 mission again starts pre-war as does the test mission is the most likely answer.

AM18 is different because the convoy approaching is in wartime and showing red so in this case you would expect to crew response.
I think because this AM18 mission again starts pre-war as does the test mission is the most likely answer.

Good evening fellow Kaluens
My question is : Do I have to script manually the ships of the MFM mode in the campaign files of LSH3 or will they appear randomly as in GWX?
So far I have encountered two large convoys but no MFM ships.
They appear in the museum and in the recognition manual normally.
I am currently running LSH3 with H.sie patch and Stieblers add for H.sie patch.
In a desperate action I changed the whole campaign files of LSH3 with those of GWX but no good. It CTDed at once.
Now it is running with the normal LSH3 campaign files.

First I want to say I'm a new SH3 player I found the detailed instructions at the beginning of the thread very helpful in getting oriented and started.
1 - In SH3 Commander I was not able to select sub type VIIB only the A version was available. It appears there is a significant difference. Any reason why the B model is not available to me?
2 - In the first patrol which I did with the A model you have 3 tubes loaded at start with 2 torps in reserve. Once I fire the 3 torps I have not been able to figure out how to get the 2 torps in reserve loaded into the tubes. I go into Weapon Mgmt and drag them into Tubes I and II but they status light is red? I do have realistic torpedo load times set. What am I doing wrong?

There should be both type IIA and VIIB available in 1939 for the training flotilla in SH3 commander .
For the torpedoes reload, make sure you have sailors in the torpedo room and you are not on silent running .

Prody thank you for the quick response. I'll redo and make sure the torp room is manned. However the VIIB is not available in Aug 39. There is a drop down box in SH3 Commander but the only option is the VIIA?

I have installed the modpack as described also in the correct load order with GUI OLC widescreen.

I've installed as described in this thread and I'm just starting the second patrol. When you are on the map F5 there are several tabs at the top that appear to provide reference information. All of these tabs are in German which I unfortunately do not read. Is there a mod or setting that provides English versions?

Congrats for the forum, very useful.
I'm using LSH3 2015 with the main and Nofatigue_nosleep mods on. I followed all the steps and started playing.
The problem is..I'm on my fourth patrol at sea, no enemy ship ever met!
During the last patrol I visited a couple of enemy docks and no ships were docked.
What's wrong?
Single missions work just fine for me.

No particular reasons, just wanted to try the game and verify it was all ok.
Now it is, I just uninstalled and installed again the mod and enemy ships appear!
One (stupid) question...how do I get out of Wilhelmshaven dock?
I keep on ramming into the gate...Gates open when I'm afar and close when I'm about to cross them.
At the moment I'm using the Commander tool to start the missions at sea.

Simply, ingame, the gates open while I'm on my way, then close when I'm close to them and do not open until I roll back.
Then they close again.
